Do you think this can be also the cause if I have pain in both thumb (palm side), occasionnal pain in the ulnar area and I had negative EMG (no CTS, no Cubital Tunnel Syndrome), negative X-ray (no arthritis nor trauma) ? I have pain in my hand (thumb and sometime index finger) since march 2011 and i've seen 2 physicians and 2 specialist and yet, aside from NSAID, i didn't receive any helpful advice. thx!
OHMYGOSH! thank you so much! I am an avid texter, and my thumb hurts all the time! watched this video, and like in two seconds the pain was gone! wow! thank you
Thank you very much for this vid!!!! I had two thumb-op's with catastrophic consequences; People, never let operate, just sue those who damage your health instead of just giving the advice from DiscomfortFree; it's so annoying that the medicine can just lie at ppl and destroy their body just to earn money; I know now that all the medicine is wrong - only alternative med is good; vitamines and the intelligent use of techniques like yours, DiscomfortFree!!!
@Luixmai I suppose. If you swim in a way where you bend your elbow a lot. Thumb pain can also be caused by texting, gripping, squeezing things like sizzors, pruning shears, etc. etc., But that is not what this video is about. If your thumb hurts when you push on it, it is caused by thumb movement, not elbow movement.
After having doing it for a week, It seems that it really works. I fell my thumb lessa annoying. Maybe its because I left swimming 2 months ago and this has helped too.
OMG THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!! THIS REALLY WORKS!!! I'm a casino black jack dealer and have carpal tunnel and my thumb was hurting so bad today I was going to wrap my hand to just to sleep. So of course I turn to YT to for a wrapping vid and came across you. The pain stopped IMMEDIATELY when I pushed the spot I felt a tingling in my thumb and then I was able to move it without pain and even type this lol Thank you so much!! I have to share this with my coworkers!!!
How do I fix the pain in my thumb that is caused by gripping. I can no longer bare the pain. I am in drill team in which I spin rifles I have an upcoming gig in march 25 I need to fix it quick
@MrKingdong7 Sorry for the delay. Ffinger jams are not my expertise. For non-invasive help I suggest a chiropractor First. Not all chiropractors work on fingers. Call them up and ask what the scope of their practice is (Ask "do you just work on the spine?"). Don't first ask "do you work on fingers?" because most will just say yes. After you find out if they also work on other stuff besides the spine, then ask about your fingers.
@Travis14Connections This is only one cause of thumb pain. For other causes see my video on "Thumb Pain from Text Messaging" which also would include thumb pain from gripping various things.
OMG! I LOVE YOU! I can't thank you enough for this video! I have been suffering from thumb pain that has gotten so bad I had to stop typing, using a mouse, and painting my house. I thought I was going to need to drop out of college (pre-nursing school). After trying numerous home remedies I finally turned to You Tube and found you and your miraculous treatments. Thank you so much for helping me!
Pain varies. It is referred pain. It is acutally not in the thumb even though you sware it is. The key is in the brachialis muscle - as shown in the video. If you push on the thumb and don't feel pain - it is not in the thumb. If you feel pain when you push on the thicker muscle at the base of the thumb, that is where you want to work on it. That comes from gripping.
