  • I'm going blind bc ,the sun is going to leave in 2012

  • The beginning encapsulates the whole album right away. "Speak to Me" is masterful in the way that it slowly introduces a great deal of turmoil, and then supersedes that with a flurry of sound effects that grows progressively louder and finally culminates in the delicate balance of "Breathe". You cannot help but let yourself go as the "Speak to Me" transforms into "Breath". It is as if someone took all of the madness and made it stop. It tries to suck you in right away....let it.

  • as simplistic as the accompanying video is, it works so well. Fantastic.

  • God I miss you, Some day my friend, some day...

  • shit I've always asked myself what's with uploaders when they don't comment their videos for a long while and now I just can shut up and feel empty, not only because of all the melancholy in this, my favorite album of all time (from my favorite band), but now I just realized the guy who made my day (and many of the rest, since I'll keep coming to listen this), after uploading the whole album DIED.

  • Am I the only one that finds it sort of ironic to look through the comments section and literally see the words of a dead man on his own video? It is a weird and mildly profound feeling, gives one an idea of just how quickly death comes and goes and that we are destined for the same thing. The only object that can tell our future with 100% certainty is a coffin, and this album only intensifies the feeling. It is almost sentimental. RIP LHHig

  • @EasyMothaFukinZ Are you claiming that your immortal?

  • @Maskedfreakinabox my friend told me i didnt know what irony was.

it was ironic cuz i was at the bus stop at the time....

  • Comment removed

  • @EasyMothaFukinZ upon further review I have concluded that your comment was douchy and somewhat uncalled for. Irony can be used to describe more than one "literary device". It is dependent on the context in which it is used. Get a life.

  • @Maskedfreakinabox you telling me i dont know what irony is?

thats ironic, cuz i was at the bus stop at the time.....................

  • @EasyMothaFukinZ Why should I? Apparently your friend did that for me. :D But no, I don't know you personally so I can't be an effective judge of that now can I?

  • @Maskedfreakinabox Try having hundreds of emails and waking up everyday to reading a new one and then it stopping.

  • In respect for LHHig one of the good people. 20,000 freinds and counting

Those that knew him the best are the most fortunate

  • Awesome job.

    Great Gig In The Sky

    RIP

  • This was cutting edge music when it came out & took everything to a new level. "38" years later & this "ALBUM" is still GR8T! So very sorry to hear about LHHig's passing. He did a GR8T job on this album. R.I.P. LHHig & may you find love, peace & happiness.

  • dear LHHig, how did you get the permission of emi to put this on youtube? i am trying to upload my own pink floyd vids and it would really help if you told me how you were able to

  • i could see music briefly while i was listening to this. then i snapped out of it. now the song is over. and im surrounded by meaningless crap and furniture staring into a glowing box typing too what? us and them or you. reality check Iam a person not a human. time to start again see you in 200 million years. thats an afternoon to some

  • thete will always be PINK FLOYD and there FANS!!!! 4 ever

  • iv learned some pretty amazing things becaus of this

  • the whole album is great except for the great gig in the sky. i mean, c'mon, a women singing on and on like that sux!

  • @hegelets iit had to match the video bro

  • @hegelets you must kidding! the voice of that women is fuckin crazy, she makes my head explose... Her voice, combined with piano and drum, create something unbelievable... The voice is so strong and celestial, it has also something like sexy idk but it's awesome

  • @hegelets I hope Syd Barret's ghost eats your soul. I'll have you know that great gig in the sky is one of the greatest vocal solos of all time. Critics and listeners alike agree. Other than one little snag. There's a saying that says "don't be that guy", well congrats, your "that guy". Happy?

  • @hegelets It's my favorite song on the album.

  • To All of you who follow LHHig, He has passed away after a bad car accident.

Keep watching his videos and let his love for this band live on.

He was an amazing person, and an amazing friend. You will be missed, love you Louis <3

Please thumbs this up so everyone who followed him will always be able to read this.

  • @pinkvintage007 My condolences, I won't pretend I knew the man the way you did. The only thing I know we had in common is that we liked this album a lot.

  • @Maskedfreakinabox His love for Pink Floyd would blow you away. He had the biggest collection and his knowledge about them was incredible. I feel blessed to have had the chance to get to know him. One of those all around great people. Darkside was his favorite album. I can only hope youtube never takes this away and lets it forever live on. Thanks for your kindness. :)

  • @pinkvintage007 Let Pink Floyd and Louis fill up hearts with love

  • @pinkvintage007 hloy shit wow i will defently keep his vids saved into my computer no prob he was and is the greatest man to ever live just because of this video!!! even though i dont you bro much love and may you r.i.p

  • @pinkvintage007 thanks so much for your tribute to LHHig who was a dedicated fan to say the least; I hope enough people read your post to accumulate MANY thumbs up and remain at the top of the list. Pink Floyd has been my favorite since seeing them perform in early 1970's - I appreciate that love he, myself and others share. Louis will never be forgotten...those close to him have my condolences. May he rest in peace and Shine On for eternity!

  • @lilRadRidinHood Thank you so much for this truely thoughtful comment. Louis was one of my best friends. He has an IMPECCABLE knowledge of this band. You could ask him anything and he knew it. Unfailing, Most true Love for this Band. Dedicated doesnt begin to explain it. He will never be forgotten and I only wish his love for this album lives on through youtube always. But hey, he gets to be with Syd and Richard!!! You know he's got it made up there! :)

  • @pinkvintage007 R.I.P Rick Wright,Syd Barret, And LHHig

  • @pinkvintage007 Sorry to hear about your friend... I come here and listen, when all around me are taking the world too seriously. With the utmost respect, Craig.

  • @pinkvintage007 He is a hero, I always wanted to do a video like this, sorry to hear that.

  • us and them is a fuckin trip dude

  • Thank you for uploading this timeless album.

  • how could someone dislike this? They must not be human...

  • so when do i start this video to sync it with the wizard of oz?

  • @lotsofstupidcandy On the third growl of the lion at the beginnig. It's also on Youtube. Search DSotM synced with TWoO.

  • @lotsofstupidcandy start it now to sync it with your life

  • @EasyMothaFukinZ I plan on living longer than 43 minutes. Unless you know something I don't....

  • Music from a time when the album as a whole was far more important than the "single." Nowadays the 8 or 10 other songs on a recording are an afterthought and the "single" is what really matters. Pretty sad...

  • @clockworkorange09 its not necessarily sad

    its just an interesting difference

  • @clockworkorange09

And actually, it's quite the contrary, because the single is made for people to buy it, so it's commercial, and the rest of the album is what the artist really wanna show (almost all what he wanna show)!

  • @azertypedro You know nothing of Pink Floyd or how they viewed the music industry.

  • @clockworkorange09

Haha, you don't understand what I said: I totally agreeded with you! I said that, nowadays, the music industry is working like that with bad commercial meaningless music who just wanna make money, and what i meant is Pink Floyd wasn't that kind of group because they did exactly what they wanted, and it's sad to realise that time has changed and nowadays it's impossible to find something even a little close to what Pink Floyd did because of that!

  • @azertypedro Sorry, I apologize.

  • 1 person has brain damage

  • Comment removed

  • one M0:00re time

  • best album of all time of any genre i think

  • I had a heart attack and had to go to the Hospital. When they were working on me they played Dark Side of the Moon on Large speakers. They said it helps you to relax…..It worked!!!!!!!

  • i hope that EMI wont block this vid from youtube, theyve beendoing that with all of the early pink floyd vids

  • @boogerbear8766 yaaa fuck them!!

  • im the first person to dislike this. lol
