That IS NOT the "ORIGINAL" Sweet Home Alabama. If it was, Ed King would be playing the intro AND solos, not Steve Gaines. Nuthin' against Steve Gaines, he was an EXCELLENT addition to Lynyrd Skynyrd. This ain't the ORIGINAL version. If it was, Ed King would be playing that signature intro and solos on an old Strat, not Steve Gaines on a Strat. Nuthin' against Steve Gaines, he was awesome too. Ed King doesn't get enough recognition for old Skynyrd's signature sounds. Gary, Allen and Leon all had their equal contribution to Skynyrd's signature tunes too. They were great! Seen them live at a Willie Nelson picnic at the Tulsa Fairgrounds and they stole the show! Steve Gaines hadn't been with them to long and with him there was nothing like them. He added so much to their band it wasn't funny. We can only wonder how good they would have been.
