Sick Car btw......I bet it sucked for some of those people who bought a 2010 gt and the the 2011 models comes out with a v6 that was just a fast the previous gt. And the 2011 gt is just as fast as the previous gt500 and 427r. Well the world has to progress sometimes. But i was hearing at one point the we knocking thousands of the sticker price for the 2010 models.

13.10....that's not that great for all that displacement also a power adder!!!... A 5.0 mustang fox body can do that with an e cam and ported d80e heads & a explorer intake manifold for dirt cheap .... It just doesn't look as nice doing it.
Roush has better tires, lighter, supension is great, and has awesome upgradeability. Sure a Shelby could take a 427R on the 1/4 mile, but the Roush is aimed at track roads and trust me, at Mustangfest at watkins glen, I rode in My dad's 427r and a gt500kr. The gt500 was slower in and out of the turns, and stood on its nose while braking. Roush(427R or Stage 3)>Shelby

@shobin05 Griggs makes a suspention kit for the mustang GT and GT500 that out performs the best of BMW on the track in the turns. But if you like BMW better those are great cars I own both.
Roush is the only company from america who actually bothers to tune the suspensions and brakes...this could well be a rival to the european market...id have an M3 over this anyday, but thats just my opinion..a good rival nevertheless..
@shobin05 Saleen, Stedda, SLP. Those are the biggest names. Saleen was the only company to yank the LRA out of the Mustang and put in an IRS back when the 2005 model was out. I think Roush kind of wasted their time with the 427R since the 5L came out only months later and makes 412 at the crank and could easily make 450 with minor upgrades.
A Mustang killing a Mustang? This could get interesting, however, the Roush doesn't need a snake to bite the car in order to gofast, unlike Carroll Shelby's Mustangs. Don't get me wrong, I like Shelby's cars, but the Roush just seems to perform better.

Does this Roush have an independent rear suspension? I know the old one did. I'm not really a gung-ho mustang guy, so I prefer an independent to the live axle. I know that's heresy for a mustang but, oh well.

@footballfactory1 Camaros come faster out the box, but Mustangs are much more versatile which allows them to be capable of modifying them to be faster than Camaros.
A few years ago, I met a woman who used a Roush to drive to work, and showed her Shelby Cobra at car shows. They were so beautiful. She let me check them out. It was almost love at first sight. If only she had one of the classics, too. A Mach 1 would have did me in.
They are such incredible cars. She was pretty cool, too. ;)

@HEIRBECKETT i was told that a cadillac CTS could easily beat a gt 5.0....researched. the supercharged 6.4 was the only one close(a few more hp). then i was told by the same person that a corvette could EASILY "smoke" any mustang. then the same guy said a mustang was a "poor man's fake racecar"....i wanted to kill this little richboy and his parents for not aborting his birth...

4.6 litre engine, 435 hp, upgraded suspensions, upgraded brakes, over 50k dollar price tag. Yet the lateral acceleration figure is far worse than that of my little cheap hot hatch Italian Grande Punto Abarth (1.4 litre, 155 hp, less than 25k dollars price tag) which scores a lateral acceleration of 1,15 g. So... The Mustang looks good and goes fast in a straight line. And that's about it.

My 2010 SS Camaro, naturally asperated with only a cam, headers and cold air intake makes 470hp on a chassis dyno. 12.5@117mph at Byron dragway. I'd eat this car for lunch at the track. This saturday, I take on my best friend's Cadillac CTS-V (556 crank HP with supercharger)

Come on, what happened to reading 427 and understanding that it has 427 cubic inches not torque. What if I add some further upgrades and the torque goes up. I guess I'll need to make new badges after a dyno run. What are they thinking?

I'd get shelby to autogragh the car and it'd be worth more than a rousch.

I wish muscles cars could accomplish what the father of all of them wanted. The GTO was the first muscle, and it was to compete against supercar the Ferrari GTO. But today's muscles stand no chance against supercars....

@TheHm3the 64&1/2 mustang was the first mucle car. and there were a few difrent ferrari gto,s. the 250 the 308 and now of corse the 599. and they were all built for road racing series and there were verry few of them made for the road.i dont think the pontiac gto was made to compete with an italian super car that no one could buy lol. and im not trying to b a dick im just saying that is what i think

Thumbs up if you think there are TOO many versions of the SAME mustang. before i spent 50-80K on a mustang i would much rather drop the extra 25K and buy a ZR1. ZR1 = Stang stomper
