  • G. Harrison, A legend of rock, I, ME, MINE it's really a great song, its cryptic lyrics current remains, amazing contribution.

  • G. Harrison, A legend of rock, I, ME, MINE it's really great song, its cryptic lyrics current remains, amazing contribution.

  • Love this song !! George was so underrated & John was being so rude, you know how much times George or Paul or Ringo didn't like a song that John had written but they still stayed there and helped him not walk away and go make out with Yoko. Vice versa.

  • This song by George is very under rated to me.

  • ringo likes shit why didn't i come up with this haha beatles forever

  • Perhaps if John wasn't to busy dancing with Yoko, he would have been involved in the making of this great composition :)

  • Awesome, can't get enough. lol

  • When John and Yoko are dancing

    Just

    Awww :3

  • I hate yoko, but if those two dancing to I Me Mine isn't the sweetest thing you've seen, I don't know what to tell you.

  • George: I Me Mine it's called.

    Ringo: Mhmm.

    George: Just wanna sing it to ya. I don't.. I don't, I don't care if you don't want it, I don't give a shit, I don't give a.... Haha. Going a musical. It's a heavy waltz.

    What exactly is he saying?

  • That part where John and Yoko are dancing can be seen briefly in the music video for Free As a Bird.

  • It comes together pretty nicely in the middle there. This could have worked really well if they had remastered it and put it on Anthology.

  • lol....Yoko is too short and clumsy on her feet to keep up with John. Great track by George, he was really coming into his own as a songwriter, just as The Beatle split up.

  • dammit john can dance...noone needs to see him kissing yoko loko tho!........on a side note....this is a beautiful song :)

  • this song is one of the most unrated songs of all time

  • George is really a super sweet guy and always was - and this song is exceedingly beautiful. Very much a George song. Totally love it. And of course I wanna dance with John Lennon so bad :)

  • if i was geroage i would have smack john over the head with that guitar for mocking such a great song maybe that blow to the head would knock some sence into him and he would have been how he was before yoko

  • @endurocatfish i don't think he's mocking it, he's making out then dancing to it with the woman he loves

  • @endurocatfish Perhaps George should have smashed John over the head with his guitar, then smashed Paul's bass guitar over Yoko's head? How sickening for everyone present to watch 2 heroin high monsters groping each other. George's song was great then and still is today. I Me Mine is one of his, and the Beatles' best and most underated songs. Thank you George.

  • I wish George was I ME MINE ;-)

  • If john didn't liked this song, I suppose he's not dancing to this. Does anybody have any idea of what would be the song he was dancing to? And: this song is pretty good, wouldn't john dislike this because he felt it was about him, or at least about him AND paul? The fact that they ended a few after that and george saying he don't care If they don't want it, makes it seems that he just was the best one ever to getting the feeling of the moment and making a song of it.

  • Is that Casino plugged in? If not it sounds amazing.

  • Thank you for posting this. I love John and Yoko dancing too. I real have alway liked Yoko. I think she is a sweet woman. I'm so grateful to Yoko for keeping John's memory alive. Thank you Yoko!

  • I know lots of people werent really fond of Yoko being around, but to me, seeing her dance with john is real nice :)

  • I like this version much beter than the version on the "Let it Be" album.

  • aaaaalllll throuuugh the daaaay I me mine I me mine I me mine...

  • George WAS/IS the most profound writer for the Beatles.

  • Did George really say he didnt care if they didnt want it? Thats kinda sad, cause its a good song.

  • good progression,,great guitarist---an big influence to my

  • Is it me or is frustration shown on George's face with the fact that Yoko is in the studio or with John not playing on the song? I don't know why John didn't like this song b/c George's song "I Me Mine" sounds pretty damn good to me and to others.

  • @aupz23

Listen the words and you'll understand.

The Beatles was already disbanded and the only things the was sayng was...this is mine , this is yours...me...you...my...yours...me.. mine.

    They were separating all.

  • @fellinian oh ok

  • @aupz23 It just you.

  • @ramblnrose ok well that was just my opinion that's all (shrug)

  • never played on the radio--great song by george.

  • q increibles!

  • George was seriously the most talented man alive...I love him.

  • I love this song.

  • looove this episode

  • Omygod I love George so freaking much.

  • yoko finished off the beatles, the band was falling apart but she was the last nail in the coffin

  • @endurocatfish its better that they ended i my opinion. LEGENDS

  • this is brilliant footage, im a happy chappie :)

  • I love the Beatles but oh my god the atmosphere is awful. It makes me sad to see them like this when they were usually so happy gah

  • OOOHHHH GEORGIE!

    SO CUTE, SO BEAUTIFUL...

    I LIKE THIS SONG!

  • John and Yoko are so cute.John was happy with her-it´s important

  • I love how John and Yoko are just like making out too *sarcasm* lolol

  • the atmosphere throughout the whole sessions is horrible, and so is the music, completely out of tune,/

though of course the songs are great

  • yoko i hate you

  • @ithandanielgarcia why dose everyone hate yoko its just stupid the band pulled themselves apart. I feel bad for yoko she saw John DIE!

  • aww. John is such a gentleman.

  • actually no hes not. this is from wikipedia: "at one point during the rehearsals, Lennon responded to Harrison demonstrating his new song "I Me Mine" to him by stating "We're a rock and roll band run along, boy" and later chose to waltz with Ono, behaviour possibly intended to be a form of mockery, rather than contribute while the other three Beatles attempted to arrange and rehearse the song"

  • @IchibanStar13 Not sure why John said that to him. I remember John stating at Shea that Baby's in Black was a waltz.

  • beautiful

  • is it ever shown where john tells george "were a rock and roll bang'?

  • maybe if john wasnt touching that piece of shit them maybe he would have had time to be on the recording

  • george is the best beatle

  • @XDPeruMan agreed!

  • @XDPeruMan Sometimes, I agree with that. I often hear that he and Ringo were talented, while John and Paul were genial ones. I disagree. In final years, he was the most mature. Can`t believe that only Ringo managed to find that.

  • @XDPeruMan your smoking fool lennon was the best

  • @XDPeruMan Agreed

  • Can you imagine trying to get a song in edgwise whith Lennon/McCartney as the two main writers? His chord melody sense is more developed than anyone except maybe Todd Rundgren that I've ever heard. Just beautiful.

  • george = god

  • Comment removed

  • George was a amazing song writer and he proved it for anyone who had such few chances and produced such wonderful songs showed his colors!! Listen to It's all to much and Only a Northern Song this guy had the gift and was overshadowed bye 2 of the greatest song writers ever but you what being 3rd in that trio is saying something.

  • I really feel bad for George, because I liked almost every one of his songs that they allowed him to release. There was only one song I disliked, but I didn't hate it either.

He was just as good if not better, and I think they should have let him write more. I guess one way of making it better is to think about how it goes on now. Most of the time one person writes all of the songs, and makes the other members play them.

  • what song didnt you like?

if its old brown shoe thats ok

  • Yes, that's it. Although it's been growing on me slowly.

  • Nice 1. Thanks.

  • george is amazing

  • Harrison formed his publishing company Mornyork Ltd in 1964, it became Harrisongs later that year. Forms his own publishing company, but writes NO songs. Why? Because he waits until he actually gets offered partnership in The Beatles publishing holdings (Northern) at 1.6%. THEN he starts writing again. But when he gets out of that contract, he pulls out Harrisongs Ltd, and comes out with While My Guitar ...? Right. All of a sudden he's earning 100% royalties and OWNS his songs.

  • And that just doesn't even make good marketing sense. Yuu have 3 writers, all with the potential to bring hit singles, and if someone's hit a slump, there are 2 there to hold up the slack. To sit there for 6 recording years making it extremely hard for Harrison to be taken seriously and develop his potential with support is just .. that's GREED speaking. Not creativity. Not artistry. That's Greed. That's I ME MINE. I realise Harrison will never get his due. But whose fault is that. Critics? Nah

  • I wouldn't say so much greed as it was egos. John was pretty much doing his own thing throughout the whole Let It Be sessions and Paul was well-known for ragging on George about everything.

  • @Amasian08

    too true!

  • I dont know if he was raggin so much as playing cheerleader..."you know lads. its for the band"

  • Yeah, I'm sure it was well intentioned, but I think George and John took it as patronizing and nagging, like when George and Paul argue about the guitar part on Two of Us

  • The amount of 'nasty comments' Harrison received about this song from Lennon during its rehearsals (which is why you see Lennon dancing, and I think he refused to play on it as well) were pretty .... bad. His main contention being The Beatles DON'T write waltzes. (I guess he forgot Baby's In Black was essentially a waltz.) I read the troubles with I Me Mine, and just never looked at McCartney or Lennon (or George Martin) the same. They had a talent in this band they refused to let shine

  • yeah, that's a good point. Didn't think of that.

ClivePounds--looks like a waltz, but Yoko's not doing it right, not at all. haha. She's just letting John pull her and occassionally getting the feet right. XD

  • Are John and Yoko dancing a specfic dance, or is it just John free-styling?

  • it's the brazilian samba

  • It's just a waltz. But John is going mad :P

  • Ha-ha. Look at Yoko trying to dance!

John's practically dragging her and she's just along for the ride! Even though many people probaby hate Yoko, I think it's sort of funny...If you know what I mean :P

    Great song though!

  • George!

  • Does Ringo look really pissed off when George is playing the song for him?

it's a shame Paul forced things on George in this song. It was George's. But anyway, beautiful song. One of my George-favorites. =]

  • ugh! John and Yoko makin' out....it's just disgusting! It should've been me and John XD

  • It's just funny to me that John and Yoko are dancing to a song that many say, and I agree, was at least somewhat written about John and Paul's egos.

  • Never noticed that. Thanks for mentioning it.

  • paul forced the "bop" section-- then george forced the spanish guitar section. the song still has no B section. it was a half forced song.

  • very beautiful song. it's a shame it's not as well-known as other songs because it is a masterpiece

  • yoko isn't even pretty...

why does john like her so much....

personally cynthia lennon was so much prettier

  • C'mon, enough with the Yoko bashing. It's been 40 years already. You obviously you missed the whole message of beauty being skin-deep.

  • it's not all about looks how shallow are you

  • God I love Youtube!!! Before Youtube, we would never see these gems!!!!

  • This is from the film 'Let it be'... long before Youtube haha.

    I still love Youtube though!

  • Ringo is not bored at the beginning. He listens to George's guitar play to decide how he should play drums to it. He is focused rather than bored.

  • @pehu555

I know, that's right. I thought he was bored at first, too. Then, I noticed that I was sitting just the same Ringo was, lol! I was fascinated, so I'm sure he was contemplative, too.

  • Those silhouettes of John & Yoko look beautiful

  • 0_o

    John....MY LOVE!

  • i love how George sings with his higher register here.

    Beautiful, beautiful man. :)

  • I hate to see yoko dancing with my john!!!!

  • I love how George is passive about introducing the song.

"I don't care if you don't want it on your show."

    So Harrison

  • lol at starting at like 0:26 the gut is like smoking two ciggarettes.XD nice

  • who sings this one? i think its John, but im not sure.

When 1:04 cam on i was lik "WHOA!!!!!!!!!!! JOHN WINSTON LENNON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" tee hee hee. My friend was lik "Is that Cynthia?" and i was lik "I wish."

  • mr george harrison sings it!

lol john looks like a good kisser :D

  • Cynthia? o_O lol, Is it me? I wish.

  • Thats George Harrison.

    It's Yoko

  • What ? Yoko sang this song ? o_o

And George kissed John ? o_o

    xD

  • actually it's donald rumsfeld and dick cheney when he had long hair

  • Is George playing the John's Epiphone Casino in the first part of the video?

  • he had the same epiphone casino 1965

  • At the end, George had become just as prolific a songwriter as the Lennon/McCartney duo - in compositional quality, if not in number. "I Me Mine" is among my favorites. "Piggies" is a lyrical cartoon masterpiece. And, if you've not heard "Savoy Truffle" (White Album), then listen and be amazed! It's George and The Boys at their best!

  • @MagicalMysteryTube Agreed, I believe Harrison became too good for his britches and Lennon & McCartney knew it.

  • harrison was all alone him and ringo paul and jonn didnt want to write with him.how could paul do that to his mate

  • harrison is my favourite beatle, if one can be more awesome than the next..

  • one of my fav songs on the album

  • 00:50

    RINGO BORED!!!

  • ringo hungover

  • Gracias The Beatles GENIOS.!!

  • Go George!

  • great song george harrison was a great songwriter...and hes is singing great too...perfection

  • Have to agree. I love the solo work he did.

  • you know paul george and ringo preformed this... they could have played this in the anthology video... just saying

  • George was such a beautiful singer.

    They were all beautiful.

  • I Love this song!

  • john and yoko making out in the begining of the song blah i hate yoko

  • I love John and Yoko dancing .

Ringo doesn'tt look very happy, though xD

  • Haha Yoko's not even good at dancing!

  • wasnt that bad

  • Did you know it was originally titled "You He Yours"?

    not really......

    It was They Them Theirs!

  • Man, they need to easy up on the enthusiasm, huh George?!

It's a new tune, not a death sentence, Ringo!

    Great song.

  • This is grade A songwriting.

  • look at ringo clap! hehe

  • What a beautiful song.

  • George Harrison had so high voice..

  • YOKO SUCKS

  • Don't hate on her even if she is a heartless bitch.

  • Yeah, i me mine just means someone that only cares about themselves all the time and knowone else

  • what really does "i me mine" mean?... please

  • I think it has something to do with everyone being self centered.

  • thank you!! =)

  • I have no idea on the actual meaning the that George intended, but I've always interpreted it as kind of a bash at Paul. This was the time that he wanted to change it from Lennon/McCartney to McCartney/Lennon and he was spending way to much money polishing Maxwell's Silver Hammer to be a single (which it never became). And then the meaning could have changed to me about John when the band finally recorded the song for Let It Be because John had already departed from the band.

  • Someone with a big ego. Let go of that ego and you will be free.

  • It was about both John and Paul for being egotistical. Both John and Paul treated George's songs like something that is second rate.

  • Really? I always assumed it was about the greed and selfishness of mankind in general, rather in the vein of "Piggies".

  • its based on the three words hindu scripture use to describe the ego

  • I think George should o gotten more credit for his amazing songs while he was with the beatles.

he wrote some of my very favorite songs and you can tell with each song he write there was so much passion in it.

    great video.

  • This part with John and Yoko always cracks me up so much, ironic given how lugubrious this song is.

  • One of the saddest Beatles songs for sure. Great, but sad, especially since this is their very last.

  • this is really great.

  • we lo ve you george, george forever great great music!!

  • George was great
