  • Some dolphins are called "friendlies" and they like to live on there own in harbors and beaches where people are. It's ok for the dog to swim with her, he can care for himself, but I wouldn't encourage people to just pet any dolphin, they're still wild animals. You wouldn't pet a wolf either if it wants to just look at you right?

  • The story is very interesting: the dolphin is in fact a female that lost her mate, whose dead body washed up in the shore. They have only one mate in their lives. For any reason Ben the dog felt moved to fill the empty space. Many schools of dolphins swim nearby but Doggie (bystanders thought it was a male) the dolphin keeps swimming in the harbor. Very moving. How many things we human should learn from animals.

  • ABSOLUTELY breath taking!

  • Great video. Have a look at my contribution called "The Dolphin and the Dog". It looks very similar to our Co. Clare dolphin "Dusty" who has stayed on the coast for the past 6 years and loves to interact with people and their dogs. !!
