You're wrong little hannity boy! Things around us have ALWAYS existed, even if not in the same constitution. Existence is permanent and unchanching, that´s why we are here. Hannity looks even more like a fool at the end, but it gets cut off. When he's run out of arguments and had everything soundly refuted his only recourse is to quickly say, "There is a God" just before cutting the interview.
I find it very alarming that this is a real channel watched in one of the greatest countries ever, im from the UK we have nothing like this, it seems like brainwashing and the fact Bill O'Rielly is an anchor of some 30 years, yet doesnt know how the oceans and the moon got here, is absolutely mind-boggling. Disgraceful even.
This was good. Hannity's usual tactic is to completely talk over and interrupt the other person to prevent them from clearly making their point. In this case, he couldn't do that so well.
00.45-01.05 Anyone out there who watches the same Hitchens clips over and over and over like me find themselves imagining a voice interupting Hitchens while he speaks at this point saying, "But you have Sir." "But you have." "But you have Sir."

Sorry but your Belief takes just as much Faith as mine.
@BLOODOFTHEMARTYRS You do realize that THEORY has more than one definition right? Theory can either refer to a hypothesis or the analysis of a set of facts in their relation to one another. The THEORY of evolution and Natural Selection used to be hypotheses, but that was over a century ago, and we have much more evidence to support it, so no there is no faith required. Denying evolution is just as ludicrous as denying the holocaust, and there are people who do both.
Yeah, I agree with Lazyintellectual4. The problem is the inability to recognize what a scientific theory really is. The layman seems to think that it is just a "guess", and would thus be just as good (or bad) as any "guess" about the nature and/or origin of the universe postulated by a Christian, Muslim, Hindu, or anyone else of faith.
(Cont.) The truth of the matter is that a scientific Theory is , on the contrary, NOT simply a guess "out of the blue" (to use Nietzsche's language), but founded rather on testable, observable, and tangible facts that can only be denied by unprovable metaphysical fantasies.

And it wouldn't matter if Darwin was a crack smoking schizophrenic, the fact of the matter is that his research and findings have been studied and explained thousands of times more accurately and correctly than he could have dreamed.
Most of those "missing liks" have been found. In fact, in an experiment fossils showing man's evolution were shown to creationist scientists and they were asked to point out which were humans and which were ape. They were baffled and reached no conclusion.
It's a common enough viewpoint but Theory in this case refers to the fact that we doon't know all the mechanisms by which evolution takes place but we do know it happens and we know more about it than when Darwin first developed his ideas. I would also say there is scope to have faith in your God and accept the truth of evolution. They are not mutually exclusive.
"In the...in the concept that I will concede this point, is that human beings I don't think fully comprehend or understand the majesty of god because it's not meant for us to know. But putting that aside here, eh, from your position, when you really think about it, you are believing that there is a possibility, without a creator, that somehow energy has created itself or that energy pr...predates or eh, any concept of time, and ener...that, that, for example [Cont]
...something that can come out of nothing, because, eh, fundamentally, there has to be that starting point, or you're saying, or confirming that, or you're confirming your belief system."
This is what happens when you tell the high school jock with an IQ of 56 he can host a news programme on Fox. What a crank Hannity is.
muah!! Christopher Hitchens' brain is freakn gorgeously humming smoothly on logic, that buffoon Hannity puts aside logic for childish and idiotic beliefs that are based on something that we have a vague idea of that turned into concrete fact magically over time.
Marilyn Manson can say he was catholic but does that make him catholic?
Just because you are in a garage doesn't mean you're a car. Saying Hitler was Christian or catholic is about as valid as saying Mother Theresa was an atheist.
loool its after coming out that mother teresa was an atheist , she tried to believ but couldnt deep down, she was a used puppet for religion which was a disgrace, fuck all religion, thank fck there is no evidance for it

Actually atheistic regimes and Godless thinking has done more harm to humanity than anything. Hitler, Stallin, Pol Pot, Mao, etc... Atheism is the cancer to society.
None of these did evil in the name of atheism. Atheism doesn't have any scriptures to be misinterpreted. A person who is good by nature will be a good person if they are an atheist, however a person who is good by nature can and will do great evil if he believes he's acting with the will of god.
If simply being a Non-Christian is a crime that warrants infinite punishment, then the vast majority of the world is automatically sentenced to Hell. That's 4.6 billion people who you think deserve to be burned alive ad infinitum. Well my rejection of your teachings is rooted at least partly in the belief that nobody deserves that kind of brutality.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
God wasn't created. If you are talking about a created God, then you aren't talking about God, the Creator. Your question has about as much validity as saying where does outer space begin (or end)? Or when did infinity start?
It is just as likely that the universe created itself than God created the universe. Or, as the physicist Michio Kau says, our universe is one of many in the multiverse, and in that case we are so far from the truth that it's shocking. Either way, the God that Hannity believes in does not exist.
But where did god come from? He couldn't have created himself. The universe is much too complicated and msysterious for any human being to have the real asnwers.
God didn't "come from" anything. God is eternal, and not bound by the constraints of time as we are. God is infinite, no beginning or end. Your question is like asking where does space begin, or end? Or where did infinity start?
No, no, haven't you heard? Nothing can be made without a creator - nothing can begin itself - nothing can be its own author, which is why we know god (correct syntax) is real.
Oh, by the way, all of that stuff doesn't apply to god, for some reason which has never been adequately explained. Just to let you know.
Hannity is nothing but a business person who realized that his behavior brings in money. Just like all the other "conservative" personalities out there, Hannity is in it for himself, and just for the money. He has even said it publicly when asked about his books and how he wrote them...
Although I do consider myself an agnostic, I am always gratified to see a self-righteous, condescending theist like Hannity get his ass handed to him like that.
Yeah, ok, an "intelligent" discussion. What are you, on crack? The best argument that fucking retard O'Reilly can come up with is Jesus "is a real guy" and you call that an "intelligent" discussion?
What's next? Ted Haggard as the most brilliant philosopher of our time? You're a fucking laugh.
I'm not excited I was just responding to someone who calles Sean Hannity a "fucking moron" because he happens to disagree with him. But to answer your question we believe nothing created God, he is infinite, thus making him God. Hitchins states it was random processes that created the universe. Like Hannity said it takes more faith to believe everythng we have in the universe comes from a random occurence rather than something creating it.
More like his head went straight up his ass. Who the fuck does this clown think he's fooling? He's got all the bravado, but none of the intelligence and wit to debate even a child, let alone a highly literate and well-read intellectual like Hitchens.
Hannity, I wish you could read this: YOU ARE A FUCKING MORON.
It's hilarious that you think Hannity is a moron. i would love to see you go head to head with him, if making fun of his literary skills is the best you have to offer. Laws of thermodynamics tell us that energy is never created nor destroyed, but yet transfered. The stupidity of Hitchens is that he thinks that random porcesses made the universe. Our world is much too complex for random chances. hopefully YOU, the real FUCKING MORON, have the intellectual ability to understand this.
I'll be happy to go head to head with that fucking clown. What the fuck does the law of thermodynamics prove? That Jesus Christ rose from the dead? Are you trying to compete with Hannity for the status of biggest fucking clown on earth?
I never tried to prove Jesus rose from the dead using the law of thermodynamics. That was a response simply to the statement that Hitchens made when he said everything was created by a random occurence. Which is why Hannity or anyone midly intelligent wold destroy you in a debate.
Don't play fucking games. You're a religious nutcase who thinks science justifies your idiotic religious beliefs. You probably also think O'Reilly "destroyed" Dawkins.
For the last fucking time the scientific theory was written to disprove what Hitchens said. And I don't think O'reilly destroyed Dawkins, I think they had an intelligent conversation, and since you think anyone who believes in God is a "religious fanatic" your probably unable to understand that. Next time you respond actually have a point instead of calling me or someone else some kind of name.
Don't be fooled by the media. They are just like politicians - great at minupulation and (for the most part, news channels) at acting. They know how to push thier beliefs without you believing they are.
When you don't believe in god and there are so many people who do and are overly sensitive and insecure about thier fragile beliefs, you could see how this could be nerve racking for this guy.
i beleiv that in today's world and for a while in our past religoin has been used for the wrong reason. But God said that there are many who will claim to be cristians but really arent. So jus because u see Bush bombing iraq and killing random people in the name of god, dont blame god himself because its not his fault someone is useing his name the wrong way.
the most slow shoots from an atheist i`v ever seen . why he`s so nervous ? can`t he see that sean is far from well-trained for this subgect ?anyway , not even close to a decent debate .from an atheist`s view .
That just Hitchens' style. Sometimes, you can see him sort of "revving up" to make a point and that makes him appear to be stumped. He can, thus, come across poorly in fast-paced affairs like this. But rest assured, he's NOT stumped.
christopher hitchens' style is a little hard to take, but he comes across very forcefully and he is informed on the insanity at fox and won't be trifled with! Awesome to see hannitydevil a little meek for once.
"...Human beings, I don't think, fully comprehend (or fully understand) the majasty of God, because it's not meant for us to know."
So Sean, are you saying that no matter how we try, we won't be able to teach physics to our pet dog?
Well at least there are people on this planet that have a pretty good grasp on physics. You're espousing an arguement on something that you can't prove!
hitchens owns in this subject, not just because he is an intellectual heavy weight, but because logic is on his side .that said i would still like to give the patronizing, stuck up ,snobby, elitist, fuck a good hard winger in his chubby chops. although im an atheist i think i could hit him hard enough for him to reconsider faith.
This was a surprisingly poor debate even on Hitchen's side. Hannity spouts the most irrational and cliched line that atheists believe in something out of nothing and doesn't get taken up on it! Theists who believe in a god are the one's who believe in that, atheists simply don't claim to have an answer!
Nope. Wrong. I don't claim to know what THE Answer to the universe is (if there is One). I simply dont have <-i->any<-/i-> evidence or reason to invent a supernatural cause. But I'm not an agnostic. That would require believing that it could reasonably be either way. Have you ever listened to Dawkins? (Not a big supporter myself) BUT even <-i->he<-/i-> admits that scientists don't have an Answer. U should email him and let him know he's an agnostic!
well that's if you agree with him; personally i think he's skewing the definition using a nihilistic/materialistic philosophy to do so, but that's my opinion.
2/2 Also what I was getting at about Hannity, was his cliched line about atheists being the one's who believe in something out of nothing. The obvious, but at this stage equally cliched, response is that inventing a mythical creature called God who precedes creation is simply avoiding the question through verbal gymnastics. Who created God... noone... oh well that's solves everything then! It reminds me of the old concept of the ether in physics.
In a head to head with Hitchens, Hannity needs to bring a better head to the match. I enjoy Hannity sometimes, I believe he's a good guy, but he's not in Hitchen's league. I don't think he even realized what Hitchens was getting over on him half the time, even with is edits he looked like a boob. Funniest part SH:"Intellectual snobbiness on your part." CH:"Yea, that could well be right." FTW :-)
As a non-US resident I had never heard about this guy Hannity. Can somebody tell me who this guy is? Does he actually host his own TV show? He is pathetic. I can't believe anybody would pay this retard to appear on TV.
Hannity's show is the intellectual equivalent of boxing matches that are set up between a showboating mediocre boxer and people who my grandma could beat the crap out of. He spends most of the time shouting over the people he brings on, who are used as punching bags.
Occasionally, as seen here, they get someone who knows his shit and how to deal with hacks like Hannity. It's a little like watching a WWF wrestler suddenly confront an olympic kickboxer.
Some debate. 5 minutes? "Next on Hannity annd Colmes, I tell off Cindy Sheehan and other marginal players that have no power because I'm obviously in-over-my-head attempting to keep up with Christopher Hitchens!"
He's an intellectual bully to be sure, and I disagree with a lot of what he says here....but he's still a beast. Legendary intellectual piecing right herre.
why dont we ever see any sabertoothed tiger ghosts or t-rex ghosts ambling down the streets???

It's a common enough viewpoint but Theory in this case refers to the fact that we doon't know all the mechanisms by which evolution takes place but we do know it happens and we know more about it than when Darwin first developed his ideas. I would also say there is scope to have faith in your God and accept the truth of evolution. They are not mutually exclusive.

Actually atheistic regimes and Godless thinking has done more harm to humanity than anything. Hitler, Stallin, Pol Pot, Mao, etc... Atheism is the cancer to society.
CiscoWes 3 years ago

God wasn't created. If you are talking about a created God, then you aren't talking about God, the Creator. Your question has about as much validity as saying where does outer space begin (or end)? Or when did infinity start?
God has always been. Period.
CiscoWes 3 years ago
It is just as likely that the universe created itself than God created the universe. Or, as the physicist Michio Kau says, our universe is one of many in the multiverse, and in that case we are so far from the truth that it's shocking. Either way, the God that Hannity believes in does not exist.
ALfront1 3 years ago
But where did god come from? He couldn't have created himself. The universe is much too complicated and msysterious for any human being to have the real asnwers.
olivemike81 3 years ago
"But where did god [sic] come from?"
God didn't "come from" anything. God is eternal, and not bound by the constraints of time as we are. God is infinite, no beginning or end. Your question is like asking where does space begin, or end? Or where did infinity start?
CiscoWes 3 years ago
So god created himself? I know religion doesn't teach to think deeply about anything but please try.
olivemike81 3 years ago 3
No, no, haven't you heard? Nothing can be made without a creator - nothing can begin itself - nothing can be its own author, which is why we know god (correct syntax) is real.
Oh, by the way, all of that stuff doesn't apply to god, for some reason which has never been adequately explained. Just to let you know.

jacksonhansonjackson 4 years ago

Hannity, I wish you could read this: YOU ARE A FUCKING MORON.
jacksonhansonjackson 4 years ago
It's hilarious that you think Hannity is a moron. i would love to see you go head to head with him, if making fun of his literary skills is the best you have to offer. Laws of thermodynamics tell us that energy is never created nor destroyed, but yet transfered. The stupidity of Hitchens is that he thinks that random porcesses made the universe. Our world is much too complex for random chances. hopefully YOU, the real FUCKING MORON, have the intellectual ability to understand this.
matt41bw 4 years ago
I'll be happy to go head to head with that fucking clown. What the fuck does the law of thermodynamics prove? That Jesus Christ rose from the dead? Are you trying to compete with Hannity for the status of biggest fucking clown on earth?
jacksonhansonjackson 4 years ago
I never tried to prove Jesus rose from the dead using the law of thermodynamics. That was a response simply to the statement that Hitchens made when he said everything was created by a random occurence. Which is why Hannity or anyone midly intelligent wold destroy you in a debate.
matt41bw 4 years ago
Don't play fucking games. You're a religious nutcase who thinks science justifies your idiotic religious beliefs. You probably also think O'Reilly "destroyed" Dawkins.
jacksonhansonjackson 4 years ago 2

This was a surprisingly poor debate even on Hitchen's side. Hannity spouts the most irrational and cliched line that atheists believe in something out of nothing and doesn't get taken up on it! Theists who believe in a god are the one's who believe in that, atheists simply don't claim to have an answer!
theloniouz 4 years ago
that would be an agnostic, not an atheist you describe as not having an answer.
michaelkulov 4 years ago
Nope. U should email him and let him know he's an agnostic!
theloniouz 4 years ago
well that's if you agree with him; personally i think he's skewing the definition using a nihilistic/materialistic philosophy to do so, but that's my opinion.
michaelkulov 4 years ago
2/2 Also what I was getting at about Hannity, was his cliched line about atheists being the one's who believe in something out of nothing. The obvious, but at this stage equally cliched, response is that inventing a mythical creature called God who precedes creation is simply avoiding the question through verbal gymnastics. Who created God... noone... oh well that's solves everything then! It reminds me of the old concept of the ether in physics.
theloniouz 4 years ago
i think the fact that he points out that hitchens reveals in his own braininess rather arrogantly was a wise observation on his part.
michaelkulov 4 years ago
In a head to head with Hitchens, Hannity needs to bring a better head to the match. I enjoy Hannity sometimes, I believe he's a good guy, but he's not in Hitchen's league. I don't think he even realized what Hitchens was getting over on him half the time, even with is edits he looked like a boob. Funniest part SH:"Intellectual snobbiness on your part." Hannity's show is the intellectual equivalent of boxing matches that are set up between a showboating mediocre boxer and people who my grandma could beat the crap out of. He spends most of the time shouting over the people he brings on, who are used as punching bags.
