  • Great Video. I flew UH-1 support for the IMAF in I Corps, 1965-66. Visited Khe Sahn many times and provided lift support to USMC fighters on many insertions/operations around the Coastal regions of I Corps and the DMZ, including Con Thien and many areas. Brave young men all. Semper Fi from an old Soldier!

  • I was in the 1968 sweep of Khe Sanh from ConThien, A company 1/4, I was 18. My life has never been the same and few can relate to the fear, death, and suffering. Right or wrong, I did what I had to do.

  • I try to have pride of service regarding Viet Nam.... but I still feel like a pawn for my twisted abusive F#'t up government... sorry if that offends anyone - but that's just how it is!

  • get ur self 2 together troop and serve for your country and a great country son

  • How stupid were the viets .. A large troop concentration is meat for the AIRWING

  • godbless all of you marines who bravely did your duty at khe sanh

  • Soooo apparently all that bombing was completely ineffective

  • Much respect to all those sent to fight and support in Vietnam...Much disrespect to the fools who conjured the plan from the beginning.

  • more than 55 thousands american soldier's souls still flying around in vietnam until now because of some greedy politicians decision ...

  • don't blame the hippies for our defeat in vietnam they wantedtheo war to end because it wasn't our war giap used it as an advantage and plus the government lied to the people saying that we were winning a war(which we wern't) while thousands and people lost their lives over ideology. But GOD bless the men who served and gave their lives to this country so we can be free.

  • wow.. I can still remember digging in....

    Siege of Khe Sanh '67 - '68

5th Marine Div attached to 3rd marine Div.

  • "they say we're fightin for something..i dont know" that is the truth, men being sent there not knowing wtf is going on, wars never change

  • Great video.. not a great subject.. but very original and believable.. Marine for life, OOORAAH.. Vietnam Veteran

  • 23 KIAs in one ambush....the words "holy fuck" come to mind....

  • AMERICA!!!!

  • them boys over there they didnt know why they were sent over...

the only thing they knew was that it was fucked up big time...

does anybody believe they went over there to save some surpressed minority people in southeastasia..to bring freedom..

    ;)

    time to wake up..

  • FUCK THE NORTH AMERICAN UNION! and fuck obama and harpers plan of a security perimeter around north america! people were worried about fema camps HA how about a jail around the whole north america!

  • but GAWD BLESS AMERICA! I"M PRAWD TO BE AN AMERICAN AND THINK I"M BETTER THAN OTHER COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD even the ones who your allies with..Without the British Empires commonwealth countries who now support you America would be friendless

  • America lost in vietnam! illegal invasion also just like the war of 1812 the invasion of quebec in 1775 and now in afghanistan if it wasn't for other countries helping the U.S Baby Killing machine in afghanistan you would have already pulled out..

  • The Vietnam war can be called many things, often wrong, but I disagree. America was built on freedom and we try to help everyone else get free. we are the worlds police force in a way, and i hope we stay that way, I am getting ready to be deployed here this spring but unlike the topic here I am army, if there were another Vietnam war, damn sure I'll be there to back my country. God bless America

  • Tactically V. was a fail

    Politically it was a lie

    Econimically it was a desaster

For every fighter on each side that got in there it must have been nightmare..much to this day

this is what happens if controversials and lies take over in politics.

i wont take the pride of em veterans-because most of the time that is all they have left.. but everyone´s gotta admit that these wars are just wrong

but instead of learning of history we keep sending them boys over to the slaughterhouse again.. ;(

  • @Spionsilver I read all these comments from Marines that were there, and they recall their units and the people they served with, and it makes me proud as im sure it makes them proud as well, then I see the garbage you posted. Sure veterans of wars carry burdens most people wont ever know, but no one needs your fucking sympathy, especially not Marines. So respectfully, get the fuck out of here with your political angles and the "govt lied" BS.

  • @Spionsilver So your 2 cents are worthless here, and no matter what you say or think, it doesnt change the fact that many men served and died in Vietnam. So instead of pitying them and feeling sorry, just be glad there are men with better character then you who are willing to put their lives on hold, pick up a rifle, and fight this nations wars while you sit home with the women and children.

  • @Spionsilver And dont take it personally, I'm just fucking sick of seeing these "the govt lied, oh noes, our troops are helpless" BS. Enough of this shit already.

  • @scooniepenn u ren´t sick enough yet!

Us gets involved everywhere especially when it aint their buisness.

stupid fools ..-sure never shot at...telling the bis story how " theyd back up their country yeah and "they´d pick up the rifle and do what they have to do" --- reality u get ur legs grenaded of , u get poisoned by ur own special ammunition..u get friendly fired ..for what..freedom pride justice peace for your country?

not saying a word about oil, resouces, paranoia and world-police-fantasy

  • @Spionsilver Obviously your ability to speak the English language is pretty weak, I only argue with people who could put up coherent and legible arguments. So sorry that I dont speak Jibberish.

  • @scooniepenn yeah me im sorry for u 2

the only language you speak is: hello may i order another 16 Hamburgers my fat bally doesnt look american enough... have it your way...

I think u damn sure understand everything.. but ur brainwashed 100% by that 500 channel US Television...

This is exactly what them coorup bank managers politicians and media leaders need..

stupid sheep that get in line as soon as anybody waves that flag..to stupid to ask who is waving it...

  • @scooniepenn the Us got enough stuff to do at home but cant handle it..and as always to cure a problem on the one hand they ruin the other hand as well.most of them stupid fools dont even know where afghanistan is.they r just to stupid to get a job..so they join becuz the corps is paying well.

and dont tell me another story of "helping people get free..by b-52 bombing their house?

"sure there was the enemy.whole division in that paper hut over there..with their tanks and WMD´s..

    ridiculus fools

  • Seems like yesterday in my mind ! Semper Fidelis , Brothers . Echo Company 26 Marines .

  • The Marine Corps has not changed a bit. Marines will sit out an artillery strike, griping about what should be done, etc. It's great. Semper Fi fellas, we'll never forget your sacrifices.

  • 3 people are fucking communists

  • You can get the audio-mp3 of this track at fromvideotomp3 doht cohm.

  • vietnam war was nothing more than just a milirtary show off between capitalism america and the commie bastard.

  • God Bless the U.S.M.C. When the time comes,The Few,The Proud will never pull on an American. The other branches have been corrupted.

  • @pobinr: A rather shallow and one sided analysis of what actually happened. Intellectually lazy invective does not a good debate make.

  • @sanfranbusboy Bullshit does not a good debate make.Bet you even voted for Obongo.

  • what the hell are you people complaining about? america was forced into vietnam and went through hell and you people act as though you were there and say it was was a waste. the veterans in vietnams surely did not think it was a waste because they went through months of hell and giving there lives to do what they had to do.

  • @Linkvine Better off under the Reds than being napalmed, dioxined&carpet bombed by u animals.

All they wanted was the French out&their country back, but you idiots stuck a corrupt puppet president in the south then pretended to be invited in.

How'd you like it if whilst trying to get indendance from us Brits if some foreign invaders from 8k miles away stuck their oars in by invading the USA then bombing you?

    You'd want 2kill them wouldn't u ?

Let me explain that's y most of Nam wanted to kill u.

  • @pobinr North Vietnam invaded South Vietnam thats why we went over there

  • @TechnoKangaroo It's not that simple is it if you study the history. But like Most American's you aren't interested in the historic truths

  • @pobinr Dude. listen. the war is over. Vietnam is now lot more friendly with the US

  • @Linkvine

Thats kind og right. We cant know what the world would be like if U.S didnt go to war.

  • hippies treated the veterans like a peace of shit.

  • @Linkvine It wasn't just Hippies, America treated us like crap. only a select few old friends, who knew you before war had scared your soul, would stick by you during your readjustment back into the world.. Fewer of the new would be able to even figure out why this person didn't "fit in" little lone oblivious to the horrors that still haunt them in their dreams today.

  • My Lai Massacre was mass murder conducted by unit of the U.S.Army on Mar 16, 1968 of 347 to 504 unarmed citizens in South Vietnam, all of whom were civilians and a majority of whom were women, children (including babies) and elderly people. Many of the victims were sexually abused, beaten, tortured, and some of the bodies were found mutilated. While 26 U.S. soldiers were initially charged with criminal offenses for their actions at My Lai, only WCalley was convicted. He served only3years.

  • Yanks slaughtered millions in the name of freedom. *ing idiots doing the same in Iraq & Afganistan. Invading countries thousand of miles away that are no threat 2 them. Wars started by lying politicians sponsored by arms manufacturers. Now they're trying to start war in Iran to help US arms driven budget2reduce the bomb surplus. If we have WW3 it will be started by yanks.

  • @pobinr A yank such as yourself ?

  • I recognize Brown and Bamberg, Brown was KIA in April of 69. And yes, I remember.

    Semper Fi~

  • Thank you for your service. A fellow Viet Vet. Semper Fi~

  • @lima1over When the incident became public knowledge in 1969, it prompted widespread outrage around the world. The massacre also increased domestic opposition to the US involvement in the Vietnam War. Three U.S. servicemen who made an effort to halt the massacre and protect the wounded were denounced by U.S. Congressmen, received hate mail and death threats and found mutilated animals on their doorsteps. Only 30 years after the event were their efforts honored

  • @lima1over lima u were near hotle and golf i think i can remember do u remember the attck on the rear

  • @lima1over SEMPER FI

  • @lima1over GET SOME!!!

  • @lima1over Then I salute you sir....much more than anything I ever did in the army!

  • My brother fought at Khe Sanh. Bravo Co. 26th Marines. The U.S. may have got sucked into it by the North but, it was the North who was sucking wind running back home after they got their asses handed to them in Saigon, Hue and, Khe Sanh.

  • if anybody ever sees a tank with a bull skull on the front email me. its my dads tank. " the lonely bull" im looking for that deadly gook killing bull. 3rd mar. div.

  • Patton

  • The TET offensive was a diversion to allow NVA infiltration down to the south . And AMERICA Got sucked in to the deception . General GIAP was the second greatest military commander of the 20 th century . Who was the greatest?????

  • It didn't really deceive us ...Westmoreland didn't commit that much to it that hadn't already been commited, and we ended up killing a very large number of communists. Giap wasn't really that great of a military commander. He was persistent, and had an utter disregard for the lives of his troops. I wouldn't call that great. I'd say that some of the WW2 commanders such as Patton, Guderian, Rommel were probably the best military commanders.

  • @peterm3964

The greatest Generals in the Vietnam War

were Generals Fonda and Kerry and dont forget General Teddy Kennedy and General Eugene McCarthy ...and the trained armises of drug soaked teen age morons that allied with Giap Because it was the mental and emotional decadence of the US homefront that won the war for the Communists...not the Communists

  • This is the "Dear America" documentary, matt dhillon is narrating here.

  • Any mention by this leftist media trash that

the Viet Cong ceased to exist after Tet?

The entire iCommunist force utterly wiped out

    for good.

  • great video

  • we could have won the war if it wasnt for all the hippies protesten in the streets and one even burned himself so nixon had no choice but to pull out

  • Those damn hippies ruined everything, they are so lucky that their music was influential. Otherwise they would have been worthless, just like the cocksucking commies they supported.

  • yep

  • Beautiful. Bring tears to my eyes...

  • Thank God for the United States Marine Corps----Semper Fi to all who have served

  • I watched this once in a Highschool englihsh class. I was to young and stupid to understand or care. I now don't fully understand what they went through, but I sure as hell care now. My neighbor across the street was one of very few to survive his platoon in Keh Sahn. He calls himself a lucky one, seeing how it doesn't bother him.

  • Dear America: Letters Home from Vietnam is the name of the whole thing.

  • Thanks, I'll have to check it out.

  • Amazing footage. Does anyone know the name of the documentary this came from? I'd love to see the whole thing. Thanks a lot for posting.
