I'm actually looking to buy my first lovebird within the week. I have owned a budgie and a cockatiel in my lifetime and loved them both to death. Unfortunately I can't find a breeder around sacrmento and the pet shop lovebirds are overpriced and claim to be hand raised but act the opposite. :(

Yes and yes. You can potty train them like a puppy to go on a playground or in their cage. When they do have an accident, we just let it dry and it comes up nicely in the shop vac.

That's in the USA, cause here in Canada it's ridiculous... In petstores they're like $125 - %250!!! I lived in Puerto Rico & they're like $25 - $65 (& those are the Lutino colored ones). HOWEVER, if you get them from a breeder they'll be between $50 - 100. Mine was $75, the last of the clutch & no one wanted her... She's the best well spent $75 in our lives!
