  • @JesusPaid4You That's my response to the q, k. It is how to live for eternity.

  • I read that the China Study is false. Debunked by Denise Minger. There are several native folks that livef on a diet high in fat and protein (inuit, masai, aborigines) milk, flesh, organs, butter and they were pretty healthy. Documented by Weston Price. Pretty interesting. To me raw people seem very skinny as if you could see their bones. And I bet they could not survive a cold winter in the north being raw. Just my 2cents...

  • I have been pretty much all raw but now I am adding back quinoa, rice, beans and steamed veggies etc. I am having trouble with cholestrol that is too low.107 Ha! The whole world is trying to lower their cholestrol but me. :o) I guess from what I am told it is letting me know that my liver is troubled. Anyway, I am learning that 100% raw is not probably best for me. I would much rather be healthy than 100% raw. Thanks for the great information.

  • He couldn't have made it more clear than that... too bad he didn't talk about whether or not he believes in body types like animal protein types or veggie types etc.

  • Hi Jameth, I love how balanced your approach to health is. To answer your question, I would rather be ethical & environmental than raw for the sake of raw. Although I believe raw is healthy and definitely helps - I am about 70% raw.

I have a question though - I had been vegan for about 5 years, mostly vegan for about 10 years before that. I felt healthy, particularly when I added raw. Then 8 months ago I had a car accident & started craving shrimp and eggs! Did my body lack reserves of omega3?

  • @ascensionartgallery ..maybe protein?? i think blood protein is called albumin..like egg protein..i'm not sure but itsounds like that to me!!..but i'm not an expert at all....sometimes i use a soya protein powder if i'm craving protein.. : )

  • @ascensionartgallery ..having said that..towards the end of this video this guy says soya protein isolates are not very good for you so.....

  • Jameth rocks!!!!

  • hey we are gifted to live in the land where most take many things for granted, and want quick 1 word answers for everything. if just being "raw" was the solution, the simple minded would get off the hook.

  • I went thought the raw vegan diet and was studying it obsessively. I was convinced it was the best diet - but my body wasted away like this mans. Since i found the Paleo diet and have been doing much better on it. Supplementing with plant based enzymes is something i kept - tho I'm not convinced the raw diet actually gives u enzymes as the enzymes in most food aren't actually digestive enzymes.

  • AWESOME!!! Great informational interview! Love the final question! Love, Peace

    God bless

  • brilliant

  • cooked vegetables better than raw meat and milk? Wrong

  • @patryksky lol, no, you're wrong. Meat and milk are invariably terrible for you.

  • Jameth does have valid points on the dangers of high fat diets and animal products though.

  • I just finished a tuna fish sandwich, cheetos, pretzels, sunchips and famous amos cookies with a big glass of milk. Want to know how I feel? Like shit... LOL. I'm too lazy to peel a banana

  • @MultiWellbeing remember Dr Price promoted a low fat vegetarian diet. The WAP foundation is just a spin off to endorse a high fat diet. Barry Groves was the founder and died of heart disease..

High fat diet = heart disease.

  • Anyone ever heard that "correlation doesn't imply causation?" Meat in China correlates with money and money correlates with sugar, as when this China study was published there was a sugar shortage (and still is to a lesser degree). Why the meat and not the sugar? There, not so indisputable anymore, is it? This guy needs to take a logic class and develop some honesty.

And what about Dr. Cordain's work? All of his research demonstrates that diets with tons of meat are extremely healthy.

  • @StabbyRaccoon You'll not find a single reputable source that says meat is good for you.

  • @jjay75 Absolute rubbish, there have been a huge amount of studies exploring the health of eskimos who lived on a diet of seal and seal blubber for decades with fantastic health.

  • @joshfinz Show me this scientific report. Shouldn't be hard to find one reputable source out of the "huge" amount you have.

    (you'll find they die young)

  • China Study has so many holes in it :(

So many unassumed variables in that book. Jameth looks great, but I just dont agree anymore. We shall see....

  • I enjoy seeing Sheridan on the RawFoodWorld as well. I'm so glad to know that Whole soy is still okay to eat. Even though my parents dont support veganism, I'm still pretty raw. Thanks for the online support and education!

  • Glad to see that there are a few others out there that understand these basic principles. Good show.

  • Honestly man, your arms look more emaciated than ripped. Also, the way you plead erratically over your vegan revelations only makes the whole pitch that much more shifty (because your diet plan is making you crazy, get it?)

Careful not to step in the bullshit fellas.

  • FEWER animal products, NOT "LESS"

  • Dr. Sheridan: More videos!! Agree with 4007fairview!

  • Sooooooo great ....as always...real Sheridan-style!!

  • This guy is seriously awesome!

  • It makes sense to me ! Thanks for sharing !

  • Nice video. Some of the "Raw Food People" can be a bit Dogmatic with the "anything cooked your gonna die" slogan. It's kinda like Christians telling everybody else they are going to hell if they don't bow down and do this or that.

  • Thank you once again Kevin and Thank you Jameth

Of course I would rather be heathy Healthy..

I also think that some products may be just beter off not eating like legumes, chick peas..I am not positve on this.

I havent eaten them in months and I do feel better even stayed away from brown rice.

I am just now introducing back sprouted legumes sill see how that works.

  • @ginahctsun I've been considering excluded all legumes except lentils (red and green) and mung beans cooked or raw. I hope it goes well wit you :)

  • @ItVeganAtGenesis I am able to digest almost all legumes when cooked, including lima beans, black eyed peas, etc. Mung beans and lentils are the only ones I eat raw. I recently tried sprouting and then steaming lentils. They were super easy to digest and tasty.

  • @mamcauley I finally figured out why I wasn't digesting legumes well- they weren't cooked long enough. Thanks for sharing.

  • this guy is great! Thanks!

  • wait a sec here, re 'soy should be cooked', didn't he also say that sprouted soy & other such beans are easy to digest? Was there some other problem specific to soy, or to legumes that I missed, so that for some reason it is better cooked?

  • And that everything is here for our use is far far far from my personal perspective. Quite the opposite. But, unlike, what most Americans carry around with them, death is a part of life, things, die or often need to be "put down." So do we just bury the chicken in a hole? Let the road kill rot on the freeway? This is ethical?

  • I am not suggesting that people eat wild foods diets only (currently impossible), I was merely illustrating an example of a particular perspective. So are saying that we should let chickens die out, that nobody should keep them. "Produce" them comes with commericalization of the meat and industrial models, not with families that keep small flocks of chickens. This is the disconnection from the food I was referring to.

  • Interesting stuff m'friend :)

  • Very interesting interview but my "gut feeling" says the man might not be totally right. I just wonder where he got his postulation about how and in what direction we evolved??? In many parts of the world people had to survive over long periods of time snowed in with no access to supermarkets being dependent on root vegetables, potatoes, grains, dried produce, mushrooms, cultured vegetables AND cured, smoked, fermented and fresh meat and fish, eggs and dairy products. .

  • @materidouska286 it all goes with your body type thibk of it like that

  • what about fish?

  • Soy should be fermented if anyone is going to consume it. As far as grains go, this guy is dead wrong. We did not evolve off of grains. In fact, we evolved off of higher fat diets. Fruit, vegetables, raw fats and protein is all we need. Some foods are healthier cooked, like grains, but that is because these foods are NOT natural to consume in the first place, therefore the body requires them to be processed in such a way so that it can be digested rather easily.

  • @JackNeedles I did not hear him mention grains (which would include rice, wheat, corn, barley etc) at all. The discussion was about legumes, which are not grains. They are sproutable and loaded with protein.

  • He said "low fat vegan diet" and he didn't mean a raw vegan diet either. The typical vegan diet today is quite high in grains, processed soy, and/or legumes, most of which contain a large amount of antinutrients and/or starch, which is totally unhealthy. I also love how he says that the more fat you consume, the more estrogen you produce, which is another unfounded lie. Quite the contrary, actually. Raw saturated fats actually support higher T-levels in men.

  • After being a vegan myself, now I can understand the perspective that not eating animals and eggs could be considered equally unethical. Wasting the life force that they offer, -- chickens offer this typically every day. What, shall we let all those eggs hatch and grow into chickens that we also waste? What if owls and snakes decided they wouldn't eat rodents -- then we'd be knee deep in rat shit. This will make sense to those who have actually be a part of an ecosystem.

  • @feralkevin And yes, I'm very aware of the fact that the same argument applies to the life force of plants.

  • @feralkevin Well since very few people in this world live only of wild foods I fail to understand that reasoning. Those chickens exists only because they are produced to be eaten. If you don't produce them, you can't waste them.

Also, why is an uneaten chicken a "waste"? Why does everything have to exist for our purpose only? They do not "offer" you life force, you rob it from them. Or would you offer your life force to a lion just so that you won't go to waste?

  • I love this guy's energy! And his " Revitaphi "green powder. It's amazing. And I like his perspective on what makes raw food people healthy. But about raw dairy versus steamed vegetables, what type of things would you test for in the blood analysis? To me the test would be to see what you could feed a child and have them thrive and grow. and there is no question in my mind that good, pastured dairy is more valuable of a food for that child's growth than steamed vegetables.

  • the problem with dr sheridan's advice here is that he assumes that if you eat meat or diary you don't eat vegetables or fruits. it's either or in his mind. raw vegetables and fruits are healthy but that does not mean raw organic diary, white meats, and fish are not. the china study is flawed and has been debunked by both Harriet Hall of Science-Based Medicine and Weston A price foundation.

I'd rather be healthy, ethical, and enviromental than raw. what is the point of his question?

  • Awesome!!!!!

  • Wow Kevin, great interview! Jameth is so right on about staying vegan and keeping away from raw animal foods. Hope to see more interviews with him.

  • The myth about how animal product are bad is based on studies of people who eat cooked animal products. Raw animal products are a totally different story...

All primates eat insects and animals and are not 100% vegan...

plus everyones body reacts t foods differently so how can you say that cooked veggies are healthier for every human being than raw animal products? Not true for me at all. My body really doesn't liked steamed veggies, but it loves raw eggs. I trust my intuition...

  • Comment removed

  • he says too much fat is bad and also too much sugar is but he mentions benefits of sprouted legumes. hmm i would like to know what his daily diet is like

  • QOTD-can I be both?

  • Absolutely love this man's energy!

  • I have a question for Dr. Sheridan. What is his opinion of Dry Roasted Edamame Soybeans?

  • I want to hear more from Dr. Jameth Sheridan!!!!!!! <3

  • My grandparents ate bacon and eggs every morning, and they ate pork and beef and chicken for dinner, and they never had a heart attack or a stroke or any of that crap, so put that in your vegan pipe and smoke it, Dr Jameth Sheridan.-

  • Just do what works for you. It's not about being raw or vegan or anything like that, it's about being healthy and happy. =D

  • So, could a high-healthy fat diet contribute to acne? What's worse, a high-fat, low fruit diet, or a low-fat high fruit diet?

  • @MisterTissueBox It definitely can, since fats must be moved through the lymph system. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, it's all good my man. Just keep things in balance. Moderation is key.

  • @wonshot4 So, eat all these foods in the same proportions?

  • @MisterTissueBox I'm more so advocating that you monitor your own feelings and start to listen to your intuition on what foods your body wants at any given time. This is a practice that we can develop over time, making us more in tune with ourselves. Basically, I wouldn't get too involved with other peoples health paradigms, too much information tends to confuse people, I know it did me. Do your research, but do not get caught up in it, the body is the best teacher. Hope that helps =D

  • @wonshot4 Yes, that helps. Thank you.

  • @MisterTissueBox low-fat high fruit diet all the way

  • @spitfiredd1 There's no sugar problems with a high-fruit diet?

  • @MisterTissueBox There is so much fiber in fruit that it doesn't spike your blood sugar levels like it would if you ate refined sugars, check on Dr. Grahams 80/10/10 book he's about 80% fruitarian with alot of greens and some nuts for some fats but all in all its a very low fat approach.

  • @MisterTissueBox Two months ago, when I first went raw I experimented with the raw gourmet recipes, I ate 4oz.+ of either cashews, avocados or almonds (all soaked) everyday for a week and I had a really bad acne breakout, covered my forehead with a few dozen tiny pimples. The same thing happened to Kevin Gianni, just search his videos on acne. I now eat a low fat, high fruit diet. Now my skin is clearing up.

  • @InnerBeauty2006 Thanks for the reply. Anyway Kevin Gianni recommended to remove all sugar from the diet, including fruit for a couple weeks. I don't think he necessarily said to cut out fat.

  • I'd rather be healthy and eat a diet of raw fruits and vegetables, cooked fruits and vegetables, raw animals products, and cooked animal products, thank you very much.

  • Healthy ethical and environmental.

  • I've always questioned how environmentally healthy being 100% raw was... especially in the north! I'd pick being eco and enviro-friendly over 100% raw, any day!

  • great info, thanks

  • I wish dr Sheridan would tell us what he eats on daily basis

  • I would love it if Dr. Sheridan would do more YouTube videos and share his knowledge! I really enjoyed your 2 videos with him Kevin - thankyou for sharing those.

I'd like to try sprouted steamed legumes cuz I sure don't like them raw!

    Debbie *Ü*

  • Jameth...you need to write a book or get your own youtube channel. You say it like it is. I am a whole foods vegan. About 80 % raw. No one is going to ever convince me that cooked beans or sweet potatoes are bad for me but raw dairy is good...never. Vegan all the way for the last 17 years.

  • Comment removed

  • healthy, ethical and environmental, of course, if i had to choose between the two. the biggest reason i'm doing high raw is to be healthy and feel better.

  • I think balance is important. I know that in some cases, tomatoes for instance, that when they are heated (or jarred), lycopene is readily available...whereas cold tomatoes do not have as much lycopene. Starting out 100% raw is difficult...maybe 80/20 or 90/10 and then listen to your body...always do research, but take what you find and apply it secondly while primarily listening to your own body for guidance. Also, get tested to see where you are deficient!

    Blessings :)

  • @Kaseypink123 Lycopene is not an essential nutrient. Blending it will release it pretty much the same as cooking it will.

  • more of him!

  • We need someone to set a round table debate between Dr Sheridan, Paul Nison, Jordan Rubin would love to hear the debate between the 3 of them on vegan versus you need animal diet.

  • Excellent

  • Dr Sheridan is awesome. Great video!

  • Great video! Thank you!

I'm not raw, so the question of the day was easy for me! I'll stick with whole foods veganism!
