I'm 30, i remember when i was younger, my father used to listen this disc "the sound of the shadows", i thought that was "old music for old people" but after few listening, i discovered all the wealth of this sound and it also gave me the will to learn guitar (i still play today) ^_^ thanks (and sorry for my english: i'm french ^^)

  • I love all the songs on which they sing. They are nice vocalists indeed, although they are best known as instrumentalists. They harmonize here so beautifully. A very soulful song.

  • Hi Naz, a great old folksong.

I also didn't know that the shads made a recording of it.

    A big surprise!

  • Dear Naza, what a lovely surprise. Et j'entend siffler le train..........reminds me of holidays in Italy.

And I love hearing it sung by the Shadows ....... the video is wonderful with gorgeous pictures.

Thank you very, very, veryyyyyy much!!!

  • Actually, this song by The Shadows is on an album called The Sound Of The Shadows. This same song on the album Treasury Of Folk is performed by The Journeymen.
