  • thats just sad bro

  • is this still effective in 1.9?

  • This works... at first. Then after a few uses it suddenly becomes a lot less effective. Has anyone figured out why this is?

  • I've had different luck as well. Sometimes I can climb 45+ with 16 repeaters, now it goes barely 20 with 19-20 repeaters. This is on 1.8.1 SMP server with only a couple of players. This ain't very dependable.

  • well the redstone circuit works fine for me. the problem is: i'm not able to climb more than about 10 blocks...then my momentum is over and i go back down again...

  • when I try this the rail under the deactivated torch goes to the hill when the torch is off, and stays in the loop when the torch is on, so I basically inverted it somehow. I know I did the same things as you did though, so I found that weird but I tried to fix it with another redstone torch, but for some reason the repeaters don't turn off the torch, so it never goes into loop formation (if that made any sense). Can anyone tell me what's going on?

  • @veenzo0 You can try connecting the purple line to the other side of the RS nor latch. This is basically the same as inverting it.

  • How the hell does this work. So confuse

  • Hi charnia, thanks for this tutorial.

It works fine in single player for me (I also downloaded you map thanks!),

however if I use it in multiplayer (1.7.3) it changes the track almost instantly which means i do not get momentum.

is there a way to fix it, or did i build it incorrectly ?

  • @Fronk1986 I have the same problem.. <.< did you find a solution?

  • @KiNGxSuNRiSe yes, you need to invert the signal at the end of the delays. this can be done by placing a block with a redtorch attached to it.

works fine for me now :)

  • @Fronk1986 Damn! Yes, thats the best way, -.-" i build the hole stuff once again but inverted.. xD

  • I've copied this exactly in my mine - however when I press the switch the piece of rail that should move after 6 seconds or whatever moves straight away! I don't know why :S

  • i made my own version. it goes for a longass time! thanks for being awesome. i posted a video response!

  • Just built it, and works like a charm! Thank you!!!

  • Ive set up the booster and it doesnt work :< it only worked once though

  • Comment removed

  • a creeper blew my shit up. fml. anyways before that i couldnt get the the rail to switch. any ideas?

  • i know that it works^^ i downloaded it and tried it by myself.... but when i built this booster on my other map it did not work... thats the weird thing :(

  • NOT THE SHEEP!

  • hey really cool way to get a cart up ;)

but did you also have the problem that it didn't always work? i built this circuit and sometimes it pushes me up 20 blocks and sometimes 30...... i loaded your map and looked for differences but couldn't find any.... except that your cart climbed over 50 blocks.... WHY? :(

  • @Oberfeldzwiebel The delaying part is very important. The longer the delay, the higher you can get. Also, a cart has a lot less energy when there is no passenger.

  • @charnia hmmm ok... i saw that your cart makes 8 turns. i tried it with different delays - 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 turns of the cart. my cart is alway occupied. 1 mistake was that i had some blocks closed to that booster circle - but this can't be the only one.... i just don't get as high as you... does it make a difference if i have straight rails or not?

  • @Oberfeldzwiebel I found the problem. I have put the solution in the description. Thanks for reporting this issue.

  • @charnia So i only need more delays? how many did you use to get the same effect? i dont like the water delays because they have a manual reset.. have you tried curves so far instead of straight rails?

  • @Oberfeldzwiebel I tested it again, and to go up 55 blocks I needed 16 redstone delayers (which is about 6.4 seconds). I made 8 turns and during the 9th my cart turned. I also have uploaded the map, so it works in version 1.6. You can download it in the description.

  • how do you make the rail switch to let you off?

  • @biggreenblob This is done by the delay. just put a redstone torch under it connected to the delay.

  • @biggreenblob sure you figured it out by now but yeah. the button he hits in the beginning makes the track switch

all that other wire is just to make it take longer (aka delayer) to allow speed to build before track is switched

  • Why the hell do they make this part of minecraft WORSE? Any idea how many 1000 metres we covered with rails and cart-boosters? Now we´re supposed to walk all that way again and build stupid spinning-boosters? Stupid update. Don´t need nether anyway.

  • @Platinger you are just being selfish and mad that you have to fix your rail systems. The game is beta and YOU knew it just like everyone else. the old boosters are too glitchy and this is a legit efficient way to fixed those old dumb booster glitches. I much rather push a button for a boost then have to do a gay booster trick like it SHOULD have been all along. GREAT UPDATE!

  • @Jersm5 First, they´re making millions with this game. Calling it BETA forever doesn´t help the fact that many players are more than disappointed about this issue. You call me selfish - I call them not playerfriendly. They could have easily run both systems for a few weeks so ppl could have used their old booster system to prepare it for the new one before the old one gets removed. A "cold restart" is just what makes players leave the game. But hey - we already paid, so who cares.

  • i just built the booster section and a lever i can throw from inside the cart by spamming click in just the right direction. why have such a huge network of circuitry to do a built in delay if your only purpose of this is to replace a double v or similar for fast one way high climbs

  • @ecnetsixe Say that again in understandably English and i'll give you an answer ;)

  • i've built and rebuilt this identically but everytime the t-fork connects away from the booster section the instant i hit the button and then stays there... what am doing wrong? going crazy here, it just wont work!

  • @victoriaa89 I just uploaded the map, so you can take a look. Unzip it with winrar and place it in C:\Users\*YOURNAME*\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves if you 're using windows.

  • No shit Sherlock

  • congrats on getting on the minecraft wiki!
