As for the "trace VS reference" argument, I think its a moot point. When I was learning, sometimes the only way to learn the shape was to trace. A lot of 2D animation is trace work too, learning to draw on model or to repeat models of characters. Tracing itself is not bad, but tracing exactly then saying its your own work, thats where the problem is. The only real problem is dishonestly representing your work. Tracing is a scapegoat.

This was cool! It gave me good goosebumps I'd always feel when I used to watch Sailor Moon when I was 5!

And I saw a few comments on tracing. I'm against tracing when you pass the work off as your own but I used tracing to help me start off developing my art skills when I was younger. It's real helpful to those learning.

First off, I liked the video, second, tracing at first is alright, my art class at my college does it all the time, by using a projector to trace onto canvases or paper, but as long as the final process is our own, like adding things that were not in the original. Its excepted.

Tracing for learning...I say it's better to learn to draw by referencing...at least you train your eyes and your brain to get the proportions right. Tracing is a lazy technic. Not to mention people who trace for ever, without even drawing something by themselves ever...

@celeurmouy I know, but many art teachers incourage us to use the projector, we don't have to, but it cuts down on the time of when the project is due. My friend had to trace a huge building, since it was difficult to draw, but she added her own things to it to make it her own. That is also why artists also use a light box in some of their work, its just easier. But later down the road, if they want to free hand draw the same image, then they will be teaching their minds.

I draw on paper first ( = from scratches ). Then I scan my original drawings into my computer and ink them ( basically, it means you draw over the scan with a drawing program like paint tool sai or photshop ). I fix all the mistakes and flaws I can ( proportions body, face, eyes and general looking ) so that each drawing keep the same proportions.

Of course people who trace skip these annoying and hardest parts...

I just watched some of your videos...you have a nice voice, did you have already done some fandub ?

Your voice would fit Venus or Jupiter's DIC voice, I think ( I'm not a specialist). But you can try galaxia or princess kakyuu.

To be honest, I thought it was broken by galaxia in the last episode of sailor stars.

I didn't notice it was magically regenerated when she said goodbye to the starlights on the roof.

I know it's a motion manga comic, but it would look so good if it was all of it was in color to begin with. The transformations, attacks and comics wouldn't be done justice if they were in black and white. They are so beautiful they need the color. but still cant wait for the completed version even if its black and white :)

Yeah I know, but it will take me too much time. And I will have to find the right colors, not to mention the background. Too hard for me to actually thinking about how the right and colors should fit the various background. so that's why I chose to color only the animations and the fight scenes. Maybe I will make 2 or 3 colored pictures story per chapter.
