  • Look at 0:05 you can see the arrow hit the knee

  • Ooo I really hope that was real!! I mean u have to admit they look like a regular dog and there cut!!!;)

  • As I believe, the best way of knowing what animals are living in any given area is to check the roadsides. With all the roads crisscrossing here and there and traffic, sooner or later whatever it is will end up under the wheels of a car, truck or bus and the traffic is out there 24/7. Can't find a thylacine smashed on top of a freeway anyplace, hmmmm, wonder why.

  • looks kind of like a pit bull to me

  • A fox carrying a rodent in its mouth.

  • it could be, my grandpa who lived in tasmania for a couple of years in the 1915s says the here slow (and easy to kill :S) this could be one he says.

  • Good work colonist...

    ...

  • @TheAwokenMind yeah do you think these "elites" gather in a room and discuss the ways in which they can profit from conspiracies and folklore like the Tasmanian Tiger? come on be serious

  • This is DEFINITELY a Thylacine. It's huge head, gallop and tail, yup, that's a Thylacine. Unfortunately, much as I wish it wasn't true, they're biologically extinct. Meaning while there may be 1 or 2 out there deep in the scrub, there won't be enough to recover the species. :(

  • @loopyclaire101 If it was one or two, they wouldn't exist anyway. There might be a handful of them still out there, hiding, tramatized by the devastation to their species. It's scary how people will do absolutely anything within their power to obliterate something so awesome

  • @TheAwokenMind Haha so true bud. ;)

  • @TheAwokenMind Lol if i had footage of a Thylacine i'd def go to the media.. who don't like a good pay off? Show me the money!

  • look at the tail its a tasmanian tiger and the head too

  • There's no doubt about it. It's as skinny as a Thylacine and, even if it is foggy, you can clearly see its head structure.

  • I think the Thylacine should be declared still alive, just as an uncommon animal.

  • Definately a Thylacine. They only come out when they see poor quality video cameras.

  • keep trying i hope thay are alive and having little ones

  • Wow really awesome. U cant sit there and say it cant be real because its brrn extinct forever. U cant say that its tail is to high or not

  • WOW based on that great footage. i'm completly conviced. thanks.............................................thanks for wasting my time. coulda done something better like scratch my balls for 6sec

  • Hi tasmanian tiger fans. The above is a tasmanian tiger go to my youtube channel to know more.Cheers michael moss

  • its a fox. looks to have something in its mouth. tazzies cant hold their tails drooped like that. sorry.

  • @TheAwokenMind Yeah, I know, this fantastic animal is really interesting. But I dont think its gone forever.

  • @TheAwokenMind Maybe youre right, I too have thought of something like that.

  • Almost all unknown creature sightings are blurry. Maybe the animals are all just blurry.

  • FAKE! THAT'S NO THYLACINE!

    It's clearly a baby gorgonopsid. ^_^

  • im just saying it is the thyclane!

  • As much as I'd like to believe this is a Thylacine the closeup adds a new dimension to this animal. What I thought was most convincing at the start was the animal's large head. No fox has a head this size. However on closer inspection it appears fairly likely that this is a fox (my assumption) with something in its mouth. The thin tail I would say is a result of mange or something similar. It's just my opinion, and may be wrong. Haters please don't eat me.

  • thats just the soul of the thylacine roaming the plain....trust me its just their soul..they are dead and extinct......just like ghost that take the shape of human form...

  • @devilsin88 Hi tiger fans i took the above footage .For a better look go to mjmoss66 and look at my favorites column .The footage was taken in november 1998. IT is the real deal!

  • With that kind of video it could be a freaking horse.

  • :Looks Like a manBearPig

  • Sorry dude. I no it's fake.

  • Na..its a Fox...

  • Yet another 2-second video that's grainy and crappy being presented as evidence. This is on par with all UFO videos. Lame.

  • @HoovedAvenger,

Problem with morons like you is that you complain the footage is blurry. But if it is clear you will say 'its too clear to be real, it must be a hoax'

  • @sonofthedestroyer Ad hominem attacks mean nothing in terms of presenting a valid argument. Let's look at who the moron is here. I didn't complain. I made a statement. The footage IS blurry. And it IS crappy. I would argue that a person who would accept yet another out-of-focus video to be "proof" of anything is the true moron. I wonder why believers never put it together that all of these videos are always JUST out of focus enough to prohibit positive identification. But then, you don't think.

  • This is the same species as in the 1973 footage. Gait and general build identical. lurching rapid run, tail long and held straight back, large head. melanic colour variant. Seen sometimes in the Panama forest area of tasmania.

  • In my humble opinion the above is Nothing like the 73 footage that footage is a fox. There are no tasmanian tigers in tasmania.I took the above footage of a thylacine please go to mjmoss66 for more info.Cheers mmoss

  • That animal it's not extincted, that's what the people think.

Look at this video and you people will see: wwOMoC40q6k&feature=related

  • the tail is too thin to b a dingo, and the lower jaw fits the thylacine much more than it would a dog

  • it may b one but probaly a dingo or somthing rooting through the grass hopefully dingos dont turn out like the tasmanian tiger and i wish the tasmanian tiger was still on this earth

  • crap, it's just a dingo ...

  • Happy new year tiger /big cats fans i took the above footage of a thylacine in south gippsland in the state of victoria on mainland australia in 1998.I have downloaded a 15 part youtube channel that may be of interest on my leading research into these animals on mainland australia.I firmly believe that there are no living tasmanian tigers in tasmania.. Cheers mmoss

  • to assume the tiger is extinctt we would also have to assume all the evidence since 1936 concerning its survival is faked by tricksters. I believe its already been found & the authorites are hiding the evidence, they are not tellling the truth & this is why there iis so much arguement

  • why would they lie? they have nothing to gain. I hope it is still living somewhere, although it is unlikely.

  • i dunno, but...au is a big country.

  • its the tail that makes me think maybe a thylacine

  • i have seen heaps of footage of what is belived to be thylacine and they all have that tale i am yet to c anydog with that tale i think the national parks and wildlife maybe hinding something look at the footage of the big cats in victoria and they say it's just a feral what feral have u seen that grows as big as puma

  • The tiger has never bred in captivity, this is why they must be left where they are & kept a secret.

  • In support of my last comment, Tigerman's online free book is absolutely amazing, he mentions 2 sightings he had, & the response he had when he reported it. Eric Guiler is worth reading as well. He says sightings are sometimes kept secret.

  • I think that the tiger has already been found, & its being kept a secret, maybe to protect it I have spoken to Tasmanians who agree with me.Some evidence is suppressed

  • Certainly is a very logical and possible theory. There are too much evidences about its existence, but no solids prrofs in more than seventy years... it's very probable that, like you said, it's found and keep like a secret until the species is totally out of risk.

To discover it to the world could mean to investigate it, carry to zoos, etc... that finally could finish with their populations.

    I agree with you.

  • Hi tiger fans i took the above footage of a tasmanian tiger in south gippsland victoria mainland australia in november 1998.This year i have downloaded a 15 part youtube channel on my leading search/research into the tasmanian tigers and big cats that exist on mainland australia including longer footage of the above thylacine.Cheers michael moss

  • Why are videos of thylacines, bigfoot, and lake monsters always fuzzy and hard to examine? While I don't believe sasquatch exists, I think it is possible that thylacines could have hung on in Tasmania (I buy into the existence of thylacines in Tasmania more than leftover ivory-billed woodpecker populations in America). Like sightings of the puma east of the Rocky Mountains (north of Florida) in the United States, you just can't seem to get enough evidence to prove anything!

  • And why is there only 5 seconds footage? There was plenty of open space infront of it

  • Looks like a black feral cat with white underneath

  • it's quite low res but i do thing - unfortunately - that it is a young fox but I wish it was a thylacine:)

  • Comment removed

  • I don't think it was a thylacine... IDK if it's just me but I think i see horns @.@ Could be ears tho XD

  • like relda999 i hope its the real thing

  • Thats a digitally altered fox.

  • hey, if u r from W.A, can u help me, on 7 news one night, there was a report about big black tigers crossing S.A into vic, if u remember plz tell me what they said so i can look it up

  • Looked like bigfoot to me. or maybe a UFO.

  • It looks like a fox if you ask me:)

  • it looks like the real thing to me! i hope it is!!

  • looks like a camel to me

  • tasmanian tigers & big cats are similar in behavior, they are nocturnal, sollitary & elusive. In England & Australia there are many sightings of big cat which officially dont exist, Of course they do exist, the evidence is overwhelming. It would not surprise me at all if the tiger was rediscovered, there is evidence for existance for both of these predators

  • It looks more like a dog to me, plus koala has a good point =/ not trying to be a skeptic, I do wish that more attention be brought to the whole thylacine matter.

  • Body and snout way to short for a thylacine; clearly a dog/(dingo)

  • I've looked over this video many times and I'm kinda puzzled. I could be a Dingo but it could also be, a Thylacine.

  • O EM G IF YOU ZOOM YOUR COMPUTER TO 200 U SEE IT REALLY EXTREAMLY LOOKS LIKE A thylacine SERIOSLY YOU CAN SEE THE STRIPES AND EVERYTHING!

  • Hi tiger fans i took the above footage of a tasmanian tiger it may be of interest i have just downloaded onto you tube a 10 part series on mainland australias thylacines/big cats go to my channel by clicking on above MJMOSS66. I also revisit the location where i took the above footage of a tasmanian tiger.

  • Would like to know why /any theories on why no Thylacines have been spotted as road kill/like the tasmanian devil is seen in same manner. One would think it possible that at least one might end up as road kill after all this time.......

  • People have claimed to have seen them and i remember one guy killed one and through it in the busehes in fear of killing an endangeroured animal. They went back there but the devils had gotten to it, and it was to hard to tell what it was.

The reports are there it just a matter of finding them. 'Out of the shadows' a book released about Australian mysteries. It may help find something, but don't forget a road is only so wide and if the animals are rare and live in remote areas this is prob y.

  • Sorry, MM, you still have yet to produce anything like actual evidence. Keep trying.

  • doesnt look like a thylacine...its tail was too thin...T.T.'s tails start out from thick to thin.

  • no way tha's totally a thylacine they way it pushes off from it's back legs like a kangaroo and the tail is curved at the end like a kangeroos to traits found only in the thylacine

  • nature has a good way of hiding itself from the outside world, the proof is in this video

  • can i just point out that the tazmanian tiger is not a mistical creature like bigfoot or the lochness monster

for god sake u can even wiki it! and see pics of it and wat it eats and shit.

  • It would be nice if we could just for once get a video or picture of a thylacine/bigfoot/nessie that didn't SUCK FUCKING BALLS.

  • then carry an at least 1080p HD zooming camera ALL THE FUCKING TIME

  • So we have to choose between 1080p HD quality footage and "footage" that looks like someone filmed it with their feet? I think I'll stick with the thought that cryptids are BULLSHIT until I get some tangible evidence, thanks.

  • @hippocampuszosterae Precisely, Hippo. I think that our gullible friend "sonofthedestroyer" would do well to learn from your statement.

  • @HoovedAvenger,

Nobody cares if you believe or not. You are not the god on the pedestal that everyone must convince

  • @sonofthedestroyer I never claimed to be the "God" of anything. I have not put myself on a pedestal. And I have not tried to convince anyone of anything. You are a very poor debater. And you don't have very cogent thoughts, or anything really interesting to say. When you rely on calling people names in order to distract from the original topic of discussion, you reveal yourself as a person who has nothing to add to any discussion, anywhere. This video proves nothing at all. It's lame.

  • @hippocampuszosterae thats because there isnt, these guys right here could have gotten closer to the thylacine but they didnt because its obviously fake.. thats a shame though i really wish the hylacine still existed.

  • @hippocampuszosterae go on wikipiedia theres real footage not this crap

  • Hmmm.. I am puzzled as to what exactly it is..It looks to be carrying something in its mouth..But the idea Thylacine(Tasmanian Tigers)are possibly still alive intrests me...

  • Thats a huge head :/

  • It's a black and white cat, look closely at the end it has a white neck

  • there is a good website on gippsland tigers i think they are very close to finding one

  • This footage was shot in the Gippsland area of Victoria where many alleged sightings of the Thylacine persist to this day. It is possible it is carrying something in it's mouth which would explain the large head(just a thought). The big problem for those theorist who believe it's still alive today is that you need a sufficient number of a species to avoid extinction. The mystery continues.......

  • it looks like a fox but nothings impossible

  • lol looks like a goat to me

  • I love whenever there's a photo or video of a possible Thylacine, people automatically assume that it's a fox with mange. While I realize that foxes get this disease, but come on. Every video and picture isn't going to be of a fox with mange or whatever kind of canine.

  • Like the Tasmanian devil the Thylacine was a victim of the rising numbers of Dingo. If any are still in existence it would have to be in a remote area where competition with Dingos is limited. If this is the case humans are incredibly unlikely to *ever* see one.

I agree, this is likey a soaked or mange ridden canid.

  • Its very possible that there are a few left but they are very very rare.

  • The tail is too long, the head is too big and the ears are too short to be a dingo. Too bad the video was so poor. :(

  • its a very good "Possible"

  • i don't know about u guys but i think its big foot!!!!the legend is true!

  • i wish thylacines were not extinct perhaps there not they are just rare?

  • It's Callista Flockhart!

  • it's a sheep

  • there is no way that it's a fox the tail is far too slim and sense when do they have brown fur

  • could be a fox, but maybe a baby Thylacine, or a hybrid of a thylacine.

  • A hybrid? With what? There's nothing close enough for it to mate with and usually when two divergent species are able to mate, their offspring is usually unable to procreate - like the Horse/Zebra cross or the Liger.

  • that's what science wants you to think, we humans don't know everything and must accept that, cause it's true, no matter what you believe in, Humans can not know everything why? cause we live in a Corrupted world where people lie. Not everybody lies alot but some do and sometimes we get caught in their web, and believe those lies over and over untill realize it

  • You are now in the running for the TANGENT OF THE YEAR award. Congratulations! :D

  • It's religious nut cases like you that cause wars! But strangely, you're right in this case. Whoever the moron was who dreampt this one up is most definitely an habitual lier and hoodwanker. This is highly likely a domestic dog or a large mangy fox. This hoax video is defintely not what it is claimed to be.

  • plus, our planet is ever changing - nothing stay the same!

  • Well it IS a known fact that a species cannot mate with another species unless they are related in some way.. The genes have to match up, if they don't, it's impossible..

  • you can mate a horse and donkey, that how you get mules

  • No, two animals must be in the same genus to procreate.

  • it's a big mouse

  • ITS not a fox, i a Rabbiteer by trade(cleaning australia up from feral animals that threaten our animals like bilbies) and i can say while hunting rabbits i have came accross many foxes, and none had a short coat and a short coated tail with fluff at the end, this looks like a Fox that has bred with a Dog or a Dingo that has bred with a dog.

anyway go find out why the Brittish Queen wanted these magnifent animals dead...FAT FUCKING SLUT OF A BRITT(the QUEEN)

  • This animal, too, is just a fox. Lots of foxes in Australia. Since they were introduced, they've been overrunning the place.

  • i agree 100% i do alot of fox hunting and this seems to be a fox (good size one at that)

  • Hmm...I don't know. The head looks a bit big.

If I saw an animal like that in the wild I wouldn't say:

    "Look...a fox".

    It would be more like:

    "Hey...what's *that*" :)

  • But foxes do swim sometimes.

A wet fox *could* be the star of the clip (that could explain the thin tail).

  • sorry i commented from my bros accoun

  • spkenn36...some kids pet dog? i was 50km from the closest house, and f--k em, its the easyiest way to find out wat it is, shoot it and look, i identerfied it throu a scope as something that cood be goin to eat the sheep in the paddock it was in so get off ya high horse ya f--ken greenie

  • @shitlocks21 Fuckwit

  • I'm unconvinced. The key to i.d'ing I think is the back hock. Thylacines had legs articulated completely differently from dogs/big cats. There's a website out there that explains their back leg=bones, and the Hobart films definitely show they sat on their back haunches completely differently from wolves. Now, if you could get a film showing these guys sitting....interesting, tho. The dream of being able to apologize to a thylacine in person for the past never really dies, I guess.

  • Turkey - you shot something that you didnt even bother to identify first? Lucky it wasnt a thylacine, or some kids pet dog...

People like you are the reason that these magnificent creatures became extinct.

    Pity the gun didnt backfire!

  • Lol that's a funny story. Don't just shoot random animals though.

  • My only issue with this is why is there only 5 secs of vid?

  • is a dingo

  • They aren't mythical, WishBearLover08. You douche.

  • I think he/she meant "mythical" as in "legendary" - meaning that they're an enigma, legends of their still being alive are plentiful. Not that they are/were like unicorns and leprechauns and things like that.

  • we just have to belive that these mythical creatures exist and maybe a few of them survived and the last one wasnt killed in the zoo.

  • It would be great if this was a thylacine, but that animal could be anything; the video is just too blurry.

I wish that people looking for the Loch Ness Monster would invest their money into the thylacine instead. They'd probably be a lot more successful >:0

  • lol true!! ,but you know a lot of things are possible in this world!

  • It's not fake, just almost impossible to confirm.

  • @fredie464646 would . and prey its not fake . alot of locals in tasie say they have seen the tiger . i hope so

  • lets just hope that we didnt kill off this species

  • that looks pretty close to what a thylacine looked like, its tail is straight out like they were, but then again it could be anything..

  • Wow, looks like one, Hope it is, Thylacines are my favorite creature EVER

  • Good Lord, please let this be one, honestly, how could anyone let such a beautyful creature die?

  • I feel the same way...

  • Wtf, this could be anything. Stupid footage.

  • you got the right idea!

  • if you compare it to the other video of the last tasmanian tiger, i could see how it could look like it, i dont know if this footage is real just because it could very well be a dog or coyote, but i could be cause its head is big just like the tylacine.

  • Mastergamer,

The head appears larger than normal because the animal is carrying something in its mouth, maybe a rabbit od bird. It could possibly be a farm dog, but certainly not a coyote as the footage was taken in Australia.

  • i didnt mean coyote, i more was leaning to wild dog, but yeah, i do see that it could be holding something in its mouth.

  • What nut case made the claim that this is a Tasmanian tiger? This is a hoax video and most likely faked by a serial hoodwinker - or should that be 'wanker'. This is a genuine video of a mangy fox, so don't be fooled into believing that it is a thylacine. Who is responsible for this pathetic nonsense?

  • theres no way thats real,If it was don't u think they would have shown more of the video instead of just getting close enough to where u can't tell what it is

  • that is tiger look at the shape and how long his tail is.

  • from that footage there is no way to tell what it was.

  • thats a fucking english bull terrier look at the nose you can tell its a dog out of the bull terrier family

  • Why the fuck do they have to stand so far away from it. If it was me I would get very close to it.

  • It would run away of course, having been hunted to the brink of extintion they would have learnt tthat humans meant certain death, and therfore it's best not to put the fact that we've changed, to test.

  • That´s a fox, dummies.

  • Looks kinda like a lion cub, actually. Lol.

  • Funny how every "Mysterious sighting of an extinct animal/UFO/mythological creature" is bad quality, extremely out of focus. And only last a couple of seconds. Rofl.

  • keep in mind most people who film these things are not looking for them. and are usually quite shocked at what they see and cant focus or keep the camera still in time. why they only last a few seconds when the animal isnt running and is in plain view i cant answer though.

  • I love how all rare creature sightings just happen to be caught on film by camera men who never know how to zoom or focus.

  • I really hope this is one, cause I swear on my life, I seen one in Southern California, I promise, (NO JOKING)

  • You musn't know what a Thylacine is then. They are an Australian native species. And obviously. Are from Tasmania. (Their common name is Tasmanian Tiger.). The only chance of you seeing a Tasmanian Tiger in California is if they were introduced there...There is no chance they could have adapted. And even if they did survive. They would have been 'discovered' officially in America by now...

  • I agree with you, Krucifier

  • Where's the rest of the video surely it just did'nt cut out did it???

  • I have seen this video before, is is very interesting. But do not always judge a video by the way it is supposed to be. As i looked at the video on the close up part and is you look closely it looks like a big cat.

  • Every time you see a video of some mysterious or supposed extict creature it cuts out abruptly are these people to exited to keep filming??? And there are lots of reports tassie tigers being spotted on the mainland too.

  • wow 0_0 that realy could have been one cuz it sure looks like it!!!!

  • It's amazing that everytime someone films a Thylacine, the camera automatically goes out of focus. What incredible mystical powers these animals have.

  • i hope it is but its not. its not possible

  • I cant see it well

  • It isnt a thylacine, the quality is purposely grainy and crap so you cant see clearly that it ISNT a thylacine!

  • So you "can" see clearly that it ISNT a thylacine!

  • if this is it than there is still hope it still lives

  • clone it!

  • Well, no tiger or puma, it has an elongated snout...

  • I want to believe as well, and the body shape is certainly more convincing than previous videos I've seen... still... One day,I shall go to Tasmania and find out once and for all!

  • Muy mala toma...

    Pesimo video...

  • I am pretty sure they are trying to bring them back from an unborn baby tasmanian tiger
