  • So you don't pick the fiber when you comb it, but you do pick it before carding?

  • Yes, you can use dog brushes - what you want for "carding" would be slicker brushes - the larger size would be best and the flat ones better than curved. You'll need two - not as efficient as hand cards, however. You can also finger pick fiber, I did that for years before I got my first picker (A Meck mini). I'm signed in as RallyJudge right now, my other life - - dogs. ;-)

  • Do you think that a person could use dog brushes to pick or card fiber? Or are there other tools that aren't so expensive?

  • wonderful!!!! Thank you for your videos and for your art.

  • I am such a fan of your videos! this is the 3 one I have watched and I think they are the best ones I have seen for explaining what you are doing and also what not to do. Do you have any suggestions of how to buy second hand equipment as I am just starting out and want to try (and see if I like) before I break the bank? Right now I have a drop spindle on the way that I found on ebay and am going to move on from there.
