Evolution, etc, doesn't prove God wrong, rather it renders the idea of a creator as largely unnecessary. You can't prove an abstract idea, such as God, wrong. However that doesn't lead credence to the idea that there is a God.

Anyways, if you study cellular biology, cell organelles such as the mitochondria are actually genetically independent and energy independent of the cell. What happened was some cells absorbed other cells, combining their functions,and making the cell more complex. It sort of snowballed.

There isn't such a large gap biologically between humans and apes, but why are we the ones that question, create different languages, document, build atomic bombs, create art, invent planes and skycrapers, save or destroy the planet, love/hate, invent gods and religions, think deep thoughts, forgive? There is a large gap between what a human can do vs what an ape can do. This alone does not prove the existence of God(s), but it still makes me wonder.

Read Mark 7:6, Jesus scolds pharisees for not killing their children who curse them. The laws of rape are also crazy, a man is not punished for raping a virgin, and the virgin is forced to marry him(deut 22:28). If a married women is raped and doesn't scream loud enough, she is stoned (Deut 22:23)

There is TREMENDOUS pressure to accept what the others are telling you is true - even when they know very well that what they are saying is not true. There isn't such a large gap biologically between humans and apes, but why are we the ones that question, create different languages, document, build atomic bombs, create art, invent planes and skycrapers, save or destroy the planet, love/hate, invent gods and religions, think deep thoughts, forgive? There is a large gap between what a human can do vs what an ape can do. This alone does not prove the existence of God(s), but it still makes me wonder.

Did you find Leviticus 12 which gives very uneven instructions as to whether a woman gives birth to a male child or a female child? Apparently female babies are MORE unclean. Or in 1 Corinthians 11 where Paul gives the hierarchy explicitly: God is the head of man, man is the head of woman. Women should not join a game where the rules are rigged against them. As an animal of flesh and blood, I see no need for cozying to supernaturalism (any religion by definition) as a desperate means of forfending fear of inevitable death.
This leap of faith (god) must be a consolatory rationale adopted as resort for lonesome humans, which is fine if it brings comfort, however petty bickering on religion is incongruous.
I of course speak only for one, and I hold no desire whatsoever for an 'afterlife' in any form - I find the notion repulsive.

Saying something is out of context is not a pancea to forgive the Bible for condoning slavery and commanding genocide, treating women as chattel, and declaring that Gandhi is going to burn forever in hell because he didn't accept Jesus Christ as his savior.
