Definitely needs more knobs. If they ever do a desktop version of this (who the fuck needs another keyboard in the studio??) it needs to have at least twice as many real time control knobs. THEN I'LL BUY THE DAMN THING! :)

@proaudiostar hi thanks for the review. i currently need Midi/interface so i saw this and the Venom, i never owned a synth before, im using Abelton
1.what do you think about this Vs the Venom as a midi controller whit extra features,
2. whit the multi timbre of the venom, and its all software based is that a diavangage towards the UltraNova in the long run.
3. w/UltraNova can i set certain keys to do drum loops W apagaiator and then use synth on the right hand like you did on the venom..??

Hi if i wanted to buy this keyboard. could i use to have sound come from keyboard its self, and come from the computer to have sound as well so both the keyboard and computer to have sound? and if i wanted to plug in another synthesiser such as the dark energy will be able to plug that in with this keyboard. if not please help which one i can plug it in with this price range
would be very much appreciated some one please help me??!!! :) ::)

@invictorium You can use whatever you want to use, you need to buy the M-Audio Fast Track or Fast Track Pro, to record and edit any music you create with this keyboard. It's basically an all-in-one keyboard..

@lloydpopp13 It's an all-in-one synthesizer. Head to the official M-audio website and the venom ad should be on the front page. Click that, and on the bottom right is a playlist. It's various types of short songs and melodies created by the M-Audio Venom Keyboard. My personal favorite is "Dubsteppin".. So it is a synthesizer.

I need 2 test it out... Will Guitar Center or Sam Ash have these on display in store??? Sounds great but the real test comes by programming your own patches... Thats when i'll know if I need to fork out the $500+ :-)

Looks cheap and sounds thin. I agree with lambd01d. I love my nord and virus for all the knobs that mean you don't have to scroll through endless menus or use a computer. This seems like a step backward for m-audio.

@mrfunkyfunkybeat The thin sound is because the audio is coming from the camera, some other demos that record the synth from the midi show off it's fat sound, it's actually very nice sounding. More knobs are always nice, but for the price this thing has plenty knobs.

You assumed wrong mofos. We need massive numbers of knobs so we can tweak any parameter we want in an instant without having to mess about. That's why I love my virus so much.

@lambd01d And your Virus costs three times as much. For the intended market, the simplicity and immediacy is perfect. Plus, you've still got your Virus right? You don't have to give it up. This is just another voice to play around with. The MicroKorg is a great synth but that only had a few knobs and tiny little keys.
