  • dht causes balding

  • DHT is otc in mexico one ample has 25 or 75mg of dht Its sold under the name STEN

  • HEY what does the Testosterone cream do? the some stuff that T does? the voice? i saw your video and i just wanted to ask.

  • @MrSymosborne Check out the video title, that should answer your question.

  • Hi Joshua, I keep hearing Andractim is illegal in Canada so how can I order it from abroad? Is this video supposed to be only geared for people outside of the U.S and Canada? I would be interested in buying some cream but it doesnt look like i'll be able to get any. No doctor would give me any as well as I dont have any "problems" that a doctor would say exist and that require the cream. I was just wondering what my options might be if you have a moment to reply.

  • @Newblish This video was made in 2009, when DHT was available in Canada. DHT isn't illegal here, it's a controlled substance. That means you need a prescription to get it. Problem is, even with a 'script you can no longer get it here as the only manufacturer in North America ceased production over a year ago. Because DHT is controlled, it is illegal to buy it online and import it. At this time that's the only way to get it in Canada. You can take a pass or take a chance, your choice. Good luck!

  • @transoutlaw Thanks alot for the quick response. I guess it's about weighing the risks involved with trying to import it(though i've heard people have done it with no problems). Thanks alot, take care.

  • @Newblish Exactly, I've also never heard of anyone having trouble, but it's def a risk to consider. I had long conversations with the gov office of controlled substance, and while they couldn't help they were quite familiar with DHT. They must get a number of requests for it.

  • @transoutlaw Actually, if you may - Do you know what the concequences are if they find it when it's imported? If all that happens is they confiscate it and you lose your money then the risk is worth taking, but if it's anything more then that would make the risk not worth taking. Thanks again for the replies.

  • @Newblish I don't know for certain. DHT is a schedule IV drug. It's not illegal to possess it but it's an indictable offense to procure it. According to Wikipedia, that carries a $1000 fine on first offense in Canada.

  • where in canada are you from? i'm thinking of possibly starting on it and i'm trying to get whatever info i can. is there an email i can reach you at? thanks :)

  • @ElijahTuras Feel free to drop me a private message! I'll let you know what I know.

  • Awesome and educational video on the topic. You speak very well brother.

  • did the crem work? =)

  • @dragonLION01e Yes, the DHT cream did work for me ;)

  • Hi. I really need some help.

I ordered T cream (Androforte) (5%) from australia. As i understood the user guide, it says that it is 50 mg T in 1 mL.

I use between 1 - 2 mL everyday. Is it dangerous? Is it to much? Or can i higher the dose?

I haven't started on T yet, because the hospital wont allow me yet. But i will start in 8 months. I want to start the process now, so i both the T cream.

But i have no clue how much i can use, before i get a heart attack,.. If you know what i mean?

  • On the cream it is written: Testosteron BP 5.0% w/v (50mg/ML) Cream.

I dont know if it says anything to you..

Do you know anything that could help me?

  • @MichaelAdventure6 See page 20 of the guide available at nickgorton[dot]org for info about dosing transdermal T.

  • Comment removed

  • @transoutlaw Thanks man! Just like the bible to me! Exactly what i needed!

  • finally got the DHT cream, made a vid. damn does it burn lol i'll keep you updated on the results, thanks again for making this video.

  • @friedhamsters2 Right on, keep me posted!!

  • Is andactim the only available brand of DHT? They seem to have the monopoly on the market! Bizzare. Must be raking the money in!!

  • @kellyfortune Yes, Andractim is the only commercially available form of DHT. The only other way to get DHT in North America is with a prescription BUT you have to find a pharmacy that has DHT in stock, because there's no longer a manufacturer in North America, so a pharmacy that doesn't have it won't be able to get it in. Since DHT is not commonly Rx'd, it's rare to find a pharm that actually has it in stock. On the upside, DHT worked well for me and I'm doing a second run with it soon.

  • @kellyfortune I see you're in the UK. You may have luck getting DHT with a prescription from a pharmacy. Keep in mind that it will likely be quite a bit more expensive than Andractim, but you can get a higher concentration of DHT made into a custom cream. I got a 10% cream for about $800 CAD for 3 months worth, BUT my health care insurance covered a good portion and my final cost was about $180 CAD.

  • thanks for the info in this vid - do you mind if I link some of your vids to a resource website I am creating for ftms and their families? thanks

  • @macrmac Geez, sorry, doesn't look like I replied to this before now... of course! Pls feel free to link to or embed my vids on your website. Where's it at? I'll share the link.

  • great video, really educational :)

  • I'd love to get my hands on some DHT cream

  • just came across this - very informative thank you.

  • @hunkstatus @Frozenhotdogger Glad you found this helpful! Too bad DHT is not available in North America these days!!

  • Your vids are always very educational! Well done.

  • i am starting using dht creme.

i have the meta and i am looking forward to the results:)

  • Please report back about your results. Anecdontal reports are all we have. Good luck!

  • Every video you produce is just so compelling. You're a fantastic public speaker. I'm wondering if that's what you do for a living. Thanks so much for all the great information, and for presenting it in such an intelligent and interesting way.

  • Thanks for compliment, Sam! I'm not a professional public speaker, and while I sometimes find it hard, it's a skill I keep trying to improve on because I think it's a valuable one. I did win awards for my speeches on ninjas and samurais back in public school... does that count? ;)

  • I am wondering if anyone knows if a numbing agent will work for Andractim? Say orajel or something else, that would desensitize the glans prior to application.

  • This is an interesting thought. Anbesol has alcohol in it, but would the benzocaine it also has numb that as well as the DHT Andractim alcohol? Worth investigating.

  • Apparently Orajel does not contain any alcohol and has a 10% Benzocaine solution. This sounds like a great theory. I will definately try it out when I get some cash for the Andractim.

  • Someone wisely suggested Lidocaine over on my website. That would also do the trick.

  • your cute is this like androgel

  • Thanks! Androgel is testosterone. DHT is a metabolite of testosterone, much stronger. So no, DHT is NOT the same as Androgel.

  • Don't get confused when he says stronger...he means it's a stronger androgenic compound. It have a great binding afinity to androgen receptors. BUT it is a WEAK anabolic. DHT is your main promoter of virilization. I'm surprised more endos don't proscribe it. It increases prostate growth which is a downer but since FtM don't have a prostate (you lucky bastards) that worry is negated.

  • @MarkMeraji FTMs do have a prostate actually. We have a prostate gland because women have a prostate gland and since we transition to men have have testosterone levels of a man...the prostate grows..thus increasing the risk for us of getting prostate cancer. Many people are unaware of all the intricate things testosterone does to us FTMs. After full transition and FTM's brain has increased in size and transformed into the shape of a man's brain (dominate right brain for example).

  • One of these altered DHT derivatives and most widely used is stanozolol. There are two maj. alt. 1) changes the Anabolic/Androgenic ratio in favor of the latter. It's the pyrazole ring added to the first 6 C ring that decreases the androgen # while increasing the anabolic #. But it's not used for muscle building...it's almost always used for cutting. The methyl group added to the 17a C also makes it orally active. There's a lot more to it. If you want to know more just send me a message.

  • Wow Mark, thanks so much for dropping by and posting this very interesting and helpful info!

  • Well, assuming you're being sincere...NO PROBLEM! I LOVE this stuff. And I've found that a lot of people are unaware of what the deal is with the hormones they're so eager to inject. That's why I think after med school I want to try and open a clinic working with FtM and MtF. So really i should be thank you! THANK YOU!!

  • Absolutely sincere! From what I understand, hormones are still in the realm of "magic", not yet fully understood. I gratefully suck up as much knowledge as this Liberal Arts mind is capable of. It allows me to have informed 2-way conversations with my doctors.

It would be fabulous if you opened a transgender clinic! I remember reading an article about a clinic that said their favorite patients were the trans clients b/c they were so interested in their health and listened to the docs.

  • Stanolone is really just 5a-DHT. Nothing special really and it's not at all popular within the bodybuilding community. There are a couple of nice things about it, however. DHT binds to estrogen receptors preventing estrogen from binding to them and it remains attached to androgen receptors within motor neurons 7-20 times longer than regular T. But it is an extremely poor anabolic agent which is why in the 60's so many DHT derivatives were created to alter the A/A ratio.

  • so, you can only use it if your already on T? not pre t.. hmm. i am still trying to get medical so maybe i should just ask my doctor

  • Medically, I don't think there's a risk using DHT pre-T, but 1) you may as well get what growth you can from T first; 2) I doubt a doctor would prescribe DHT B4 T.

  • Ah i see. fair enough then. I have found a a few physicians in my area that will write T letters and do counseling. I'll get to work :) thanks man

  • You can use it pre T....it's just reduced Test.

  • cool, i'll ask one of the counselors i found :) thanks for feedback

  • You can also block some of your estrogen by using a SERM along with an aromatase inhibitor. Tamoxifen for your SERM and arimidex for your inhibitor...Something to consider

  • Where do I get SERM? Right now I can only afford whats at pharmacies. can't get any perscriptions for anything (no medical) Ill look up these supplements for sure

  • A SERM or Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator can be bought online legally through a tiny legal loophole. With certain pharmaceuticals if the seller says that the product is not for human consumption the buyer may purchase without a prescription. My best friend is FtM and I started him out using Arimidex with some Clen, and Cytomel to help cut some fat before starting the T therapy. I'll send you a website...just PM me.

  • @MarkMeraji You prolly wont see this but Armidex is an Aromatase Inhibitor. Clomid and Nolvadex are SERM's

  • Very usefull thank you

  • Thank you so more for all of this really really helpful information bro... I greatly appreciate it! This video is probably THE MOST HELPFUL video I have found having anything to do with physical transition.

  • Thank you so much! Glad you found it helpful!

  • Great job, Man. I do research in reproductive medicine and work with hormones. I'm also a transguy. You did a great job doing your research and regurgitating that. :) Excellent work. Thanks for putting the information out there.

  • I appreciate your comment given your experience in this area, thank you!

  • dick growth hehe i wish it workd on me

  • DHT causes genital tissue growth. It can produce growth for trans and bio men. While I doubt it's prescribed often for guys who want to go from say, 6" to 7", it is used to treat the "micro phallus" condition in bio men. Your wish is reality.

  • hilarious and informational. you are the man! thank you

  • thats my birth day. haha

  • Once again, another brilliant and well articulated video. I am 5 days post top surgery and off T for 4 weeks now. Next lab work up I am going to get the RX and have it compounded locally. Thanks my friend.

  • thanks for the info

  • word! rock on

  • How will this affect your partner? I know one of the concerns of guys who choose to use Androgel is how it will affect sexual partners.

  • *Excellent* question! I haven't seen info specifically about DHT, but we can look to Androgel recommendations. However, since DHT is stronger, more caution is recommended.

Washing it off an hour after application reduces---but does not eliminate---chance of exposure.

The only safe means of protection from DHT exposure for a sexual partner is... zero exposure. Since DHT is applied daily, that means no contact to the genitals for the entire period of usage.

  • What do you intend to do when you start? Use latex barriers?

  • Well, without getting into any personal details, I'll just say that this isn't really a big issue for me :)

  • That just might be the funniest response I've ever heard! Well said.

  • LOL, good luck, power of the mind!

    :D

  • I know you can't answer this yourself as you're in Canada but I'd be very interested to know if anyone who watched this knows if DHT is available in UK and if so .. is it on the NHS?

  • Great question, I hope someone posts an answer! Otherwise, you could contact a pharmacy in the UK and ask them directly (though they may not be familiar with DHT.)

  • I def plan on using this as soon as I hit my one year mark...I'm one of the largest guys I know right now so I'm not rushing lol. But this is good good info for all the bros out there. Are you still on TMR? you should post this for the guys a lot don't know about this.

  • Good luck! I'm looking forward to hearing about the results. I hadn't heard of DHT before this.

  • You're very informative. Great video. Thanks for posting.

  • Hopefully this will lead to more formal research into this topic, a more standardized dosage, and easier availability for standardized forms.

  • Great video, I am planning on using this as well, keep us posted on your results.

  • is it okay to start pumping and using DHT pre-t??

  • YES.

I've read things that suggest that the earlier you start and the longer you do it the better, but those comments implied long term use--something I wouldn't personally advocate. My instinct would be to use only in 3-month spurts with 3-6 months off in between. I think this would limit the negative affects that DHT has on hair follicles on the scalp, reducing the chances of accelerated hair loss.

I'll repeat 2 things: I am not a medical pro, and anyone using DHT should get bloodwork.

  • as always, thank you so much for your candid info. it's really appreciated!

  • Thanks for doing this for the community! I too am looking into this so your results and experience would be great to hear about!
