SheaSylvestor: using a technique like Threadonaspool states is OK. Why? Because the Belly Putt conversion is just an extension of the original putter. So if it works a piece of shaft will work as well. Using air compressor to put new grip on and off makes the whole process fun and affordable
Why wouldnt you just cut and push a another shaft down the inside of the original putter shaft? Youd just need to glue it in place and add a grip. Everyone has an old club that they never use anymore... I new grip cost 4 euro!!
This would not work properly because belly putters have to have very flat lie angles. Making a standard lie putter longer would require the putter to be moved farther away from the body in order to lie flat.
Thought it might be pertinent to mention that this putter attachment inserted into a standard (read: not round) putter grip would make the putter ILLEGAL under the rules of golf.
The pertinent Rule is Section C - Conditions of Competition - Appendix II, Design of Clubs, Rule 3:
(v) A putter may have two grips provided each is circular in cross-section, the axis of each coincides with the axis of the shaft and they are separated by at least 1.5 inches (38.1 mm).
no wonder you couldn't make any putts, your just another goof-ball who thinks the 35" Putter is a "Standard". Putters used to come from the factory with a 35" shaft and no grip, and you would trim it to fit how tall you were.

WOW, great product. This is the most affordable solution I've seen for a belly putter so far. I can't wait to get one.
