  • You don't have to be a "believer" in the faith to connect with the ghostly sentiments which well within these beautiful voices expressing the inexpressible except in terms of beauty and love. How the experiences of the Middle Passage and centuries of slavery and injustice can be transformed at last into a rendition of beauty is an immortal testament to the power of redemption. There is hope for the human species on this planet of a minor star in a minor galaxy among a hundred billion others.
