Understandable, remember this is a traditional College band. However, some high schools don't have their cheerleaders perform with the band on the field anyways.

Good job Cal ! Glad to see popular music played in it's context. I hate it when bands take the color and life out of a piece. Sousa is Sousa (marches) and Mike is Mike (pop). Don't butcher either. In my humble opinion they should be articulated in the manor and period in which they were written. It's all for entertainment ... but of course the "Musically Pious" will rip that statement to shreds :-)

The arrangements are pretty tight. Good sound from the band. Dance team is a bit lame. That don't stop is actually a VERY good arrangement. I'd have made it a little brassier on some sections (I kept hearing a 'missing' mellophone, if you know what I mean).

im a stanford fan and love stanford sports and the stanford band (LSJUMB all the way), but considering this is the BORING cal band, it is actually fairly decent.  like strykerNinja said, i wish my school jazz band would play stuff like this

I think the band's performance is a lot more powerful than the cheerleader's performance.  A dance team might have been better suited for this.
