does the game only takes place on the sip? and are there human zombies besides those cheap looking monsters?

@lordgiratina7000 Does take place in different locations and with different playable characters, there are variations of the ooze monster (vast variations) hunters (invisible) and special boss types (some of which resemble zombies, more aggressive) but no classic zombies. There is also a co-op mode called raid mode which is basically a much better version of mercenaries mode (characters unplayable in the story mode are playable in raid mode, not including zombies.
