  • I feel bad for the other pitchers who had to stand there being compared to Chapman. I thought our starting pitcher was fast with his 75+ fastball(sophomore in highschool), but compared to Chapmans 102+ fastball, our pitcher looks like a first grader. And to the Tommy John thing, what he did to his arm was because his form was way off compared to now, Chapmans form is like an improved version, if you get me. For some I'm probably just stating the obvious but i hope to clear something up for some

  • @Snowintosh he would destroy Strasburg. He throws harder, his stuff breaks more, and he is black witch is an unfair advantage. Strasburg also throws wrong. Hence why he got hurt. If he threw like Chapman does, form wise, he would be just as good.

  • He is a beast.

  • imagine how fast that ball is coming in, as soon as it leaves his hand its pretty much hitting the catchers mitt.

  • were total baseball nerds for liking this, haha.

  • Chapman is a reliever you idiots, he wouldnt be able to last

  • @452ty he was a starter his whole life including in the minors before he got called up. youre the fucking idiot

  • chapman would kill strasburg

  • 1:26 ... is that his shoulder breaking ... oh wait hes not strasberg

  • @skycan14 strasburg didn't break his shoulder

  • on his 4th pitch he brings it for the first time. and look at the reaction from the guy on the left. "they ain't hit'n on him in practice coach."

  • Lets hope this guy doesnt get tommy john.

  • if he was 4 inch's shorter he wouldnt be shit for a pitcher

  • @JoshuaPaulHollenbeck but he's not

  • god that would be so fun just to get to pitch all day

  • Chapmans better than Strasburg cuz he can pitch a few games without hurting himself and staying on the DL all season

  • Looks like my changup

  • haha. no one wants to play catch with him

  • i love the pink (;

  • 1:58 lulz fail

  • 2:18 gotta move the snake..

  • I'd wear a glove inside my catcher's mitt if I ever caught him...

now we know another REAL good reason to have 2 great catchers!

just listening to the mitt pop makes me want to cringe...sorry all you other teams (@Aroldis: 'please stay', 'please stay', etc.)

Just think if Gibson's skill hadn't forced them to lower the mound?! Jeez, what a horror that would be ("hide the kid's eyes, Marge--he's gonna throw it again!")...

not to mention the terrible girlish screams from the batter's box!

  • Look how far his stride is compared to everyone else

  • If chapman took roids he would be 220 lbs etleast, not the 185 lbs he currently is.

  • incredible his from Holguin, Cuba i saw him once ina game his amazing as fuck!!!!!

  • I was the bullpen catcher on the bats and i caught for him. Wow, he's going somewhere

  • This sounds so messed up but....finally there's a young pitcher with halfway decent mechanics.

  • 105 mph by chapman to the guy who DISLIKED THIS VIDEO!

  • @santoak47 THE DOMINICANS HAVE CUBAN MISSILE CRISSIS.

  • Uh, I'd like to have an arm like that please.

  • I stood behind the batters box as and usher for strasburg.. for him is was like what of three pitches is he going to give you...

for chapman it is like .... can you even see the blur long enough to hit it.

  • the truth is after tommy john surgery players, especially pitchers regain strength in their arm, usually because the ligament is new therefore stronger which explain the 2-3 extra miles in the pitches. (example tim hudson) now i dont know if this would be the case with strasburg remember he is 21 the arm shouldnt be that tired since he hasnt pitched that much.

  • true that gentryz43 imofnope is a fag

  • I guess chapman forgot to take his steroids tonight huh? ha, ha!!

  • @ImOfNope Your name says it all!! You know murder is natural sometimes we even try it with words. The physical kind would show your true intent. live your own life sucker!! My boy can throw. shrrrrrrrroooooo........... Pop!!! Striiike!!!

  • i love how this guy (imofnope) goes to all chapman vids and leaves a comment saying he is useing steroids dude get off his dick fag and dont be a hater cuz i bet you suck dick at baseball and just hate on all the good people

  • Amazing what steroids can do for a guy. He's gonna look good in pinstripes once he goes for the big money.

  • look where chapmans foot lands in compared to the other pitchers its a good 2 to 3 feet in front

  • Dodge ball anyone??

  • @funnyshit o hell no not with CHAPMAN lol he would take the head off of a person.

  • @deadknightwarrior101 everyone read the comment that I am responding to here. hilarious. I can only hope he's being sarcastic. not impressed by anything but his speed? dude, the slider is what everyone is impressed with. brandon laughs at everything, so chances are he was just laughing like always, and attempting to talk to him.

  • so strong

  • You can throw 140 MPH fastballs and if you can't hit throw strikes what the fuck good are you besides a ticking time bomb to kill somebody. However he may be good you never know but we will have to wait and see I know he has an eratic pitching style still and that's fucking scary stepping up to the plate with a guy who can throw a ball as fast as a BB comes out of a BB gun hahaha wow. 105 scary fast.

  • they havent used him becuz his control sucks more dick than the st louis rams

  • @smassimilla6 WHOAH HEY!!! The rams are gonna beast with bradford so watch out.. And his controls fine they r just brushing things up

  • @smassimilla6 they did use him he striked out everyone in the 8th-9th inning and only two people achieved the goal of hitting his fastball/slider. (those two hits were outs)

  • @LilEyJay Albert Pujols got groundout double play against him... Im a Cards fan, but I have to admit that Albert Pujols will never get homerun off of him! HE IS TOO FAST!!! He almost broke Busch Stadium radar gun!!! Also the highest pitch speed recorded at Busch Stadium III's history! This guy is a beast!

  • why the red didnt use him yet

  • where's this kid from? the u.k? or what?

  • He's fron cuban

  • Reds vs. Nationals Pitchers: Chapman vs. Strasburg - That game would be a blast.

  • @Snowintosh strasburg will win

  • @Snowintosh ya too bad strasburg is hurt!

  • @Snowintosh

You're an idiot. Chapman is a reliever, Strasburg is a starter.

  • @GBxFLasHBacK Chapman is a starter. The only reason we was relieving is because it was his quickest way to break the Majors. He will be a starter.

  • @Kodiak42Football true but i dont think hes gonna be a starter anytime soon, might take him another year or so

  • @Snowintosh too bad chapman is a closer...

  • @ProductionsThatFSU he isn't a closer, isn't it Cordero who closes for the Reds?

  • @Alexhallkiller Probably. But he def isn't a starter...

  • @Snowintosh Chapman isnt a starter

  • @Snowintosh Yeah but it would be really quick

  • the reds r baddasses

  • Who do you think is better him or Starsburg

  • @hawkman2111 Starsburg

  • Chapman is better, + he's lefthanded

  • @CubanMLBStar I don't know, but your name kind of sounds biased towards Aroldis. Yeah, this kid has some heat, and a slider every right handed batter should fear, but we have to keep in mind speed isn't everything. Strasburg is just 2 mph behind, and he has some nasty stuff too, and is very consistent. We will just have to wait it out and see, I have never been so excited about two pitchers than I am right now.

  • @hcvideoproductions Strasburg needs surgery, which means u dont know if he gonna come back better or worse. Chapman throws harder than Strasburg Chapman was clocked at 105mph. I didnt see Strasburg hit 103 in any of the games he played? did u? FACTS ARE FACTS.

  • @CubanMLBStar theres talk that strasburg might reach 102-105 after tommy john sugery

  • @CubanMLBStar Also, chapmans control is a little on the down side

  • @CubanMLBStar Chapman has a tiny bit more heat and being lefty is a nice bonus, but Strasburg locates better + has better offspeed stuff.

But it's sorta irrelevant now that Strasburg's out for a year with surgery.

  • @CubanMLBStar and throws faster balls YEAH!

  • @CubanMLBStar also he hasn't been injured

  • @CubanMLBStar Chapman still hasn't proved he can maintain his stuff over a few innings

  • He's going to be good, he deserves it

  • Vayaa tremendas cadenas!!!@ AGUAAA!! jaja

  • He runs backwards very well. I think this is key to his abilities at this level.

  • Awesome Pitcher !!!! Go Chapman .. Vamos Chapman !!!!

  • hea can 100 mphs

  • i wonder if he will start the year in the bigs?

PS i got a Aroldis Chapman video

  • phenom cant wait to see how he does i hope he starts in the major leagues, he is good enough to skip the minors

  • @realba18 He stills needs some polishing, will be very good tho

  • Cant wait to see what he does for the reds

  • ridiculous arm speed!!

  • @redcat19 remember that this is just a spring training bullpen. doesn't mean he has to go hard

  • @SouthCentralTee I know that, I'm a baseball coach, I was commenting on how amazingly fast his "natural arm speed" is even when he is just tossing in a spring training bullpen session

  • He has some raw talent but he's got a lonngggg way to go. If he can develop a breaking ball then he'll bel on his way.

  • he is the best, give him a few games, and get use to the language and you all will see what the Cuban can do !!

  • Yeah! Cubans can do it ALL! Whatever that fucking means...

  • I love the pick up of Chapman! Does anyone notice how uncomfortable he looks when he throws from the wind-up. It is like he is way more comfortable from the stretch.

  • i'm better than you

  • sweeett , one on a million!! felicidades chaptman

  • not sure why John Fay (or anyone) thinks he may be on the opening day roster.

he WILL NOT be on the opening day roster and here's why....

If he's there before May 15th, his contract is reduced to a 3 year contract. If he's on after May 15th, contract is extended to a 6 year contract...

    money and years talk....

  • Beast

  • That would not be a wise decision from the Reds standpoint. Sure, we get 1-2 more months out of him, but is that time in the majors really worth over 18,000,000? Not a chance, IMO. Bring him up in June and don't rush things. He's a young kid with a lot to learn, 2 months isn't going to kill him.

    -Matt

  • actually it could kill him, look at joba chamberlain. young pitchers need to stop being over managed, let them do what they do, and guess what, theyre gonna fail at first! thats how their gonna learn, not by having a 0.9 era in double and tripple a ball.

  • @IISNAPSHOTII yeah but it's diffrent with joba. He can't be a starter. He was good out of the pen bkoz he threw 98. he can't seem to get hitters out without giving up 5 runs first(this coming from a yankees fan)he needs to be a bullpen guy. maybe he could be the closer when MO retires.(thats guna be a horrable day when he retires)

  • Man, I cannot wait for Opening Day. Speculation is that Aroldis Chapman could be on the Opening Day roster.
