so i noticed you back up to the truck to pull it out... whouldn't it work better the other way? you would have the weight of the engine and the other truck for traction versus taking weight of the front tires?
@123naruto123456789 thanks, I just ordered some new camera mounts so hopefully i can get some new videos soon. Subscribe so you can be alerted of new videos
@01CumminsTurbo yeah i agree with you, gotta get some bigger tires so your axle is draggin mud... like my 78 bronco i use for mudding have 46 in. tractor tires =)
awh the raptor got stuck maybe you should have been going faster u know they say it is a high speed truck; offroading is a lot harder slower isn't it, which is why the raptor will never beat a jeep
@57condor I only got stuck because i didnt have mud tires on at that time and if you listen you will hear that i was losing air from my front tire so i didnt bother trying to turn on my rear lockers and going in to 4wdLO . And by the way the raptor is also capable of doing the slow offroading see this video.....
@57condor I cant post a link to the video i was referring to but do a search on youtube for "ford raptor moab" And you'll see the raptor doing other types of offroading
@rangerbrown It's not like it's gonna break. These things are so tough man. And even if something does break, if you have the money to buy one, chances are you can afford a repair every now and then.
@deathstar445 yea makes me sick to see people taking out brand new trucks and muddin them up, i'd rather buy this truck and buy a $1500 dirtbike and give the dirtbike hell
@flytheuk The first trail is in shirley and the last part of the video is in manorville. The second part of the video has some mud pitts that are easy to get stuck in, so if you need someone to ride with let me know.
I agree with that. I'd really like to see a 2012 Ram 2500 Power Wagon try and tackle that terrain. It has both front and rear lockers as well as a disconnecting sway bar. Would be a cool comparison although very different designs. Maybe I'll trade up my Rubicon some day and find out. Happy trails.
This off road truck doesn't have a full set of lockers? Suspension travel was impressive but this is no crawler. Seem more suited for high speed dune wrangling.
@Bluffmagic This truck comes with rear lockers only. It's mostly designed to be like a baja type of truck but it can also get on the trails with no issues. I wouldn't try rock crawling though with this truck.
Dude lower tire pressure would have help... Should have lowered them before you started and go always switch to low. then go... Sick looks like it was fun
trucks actually have two very beautiful and remember all "the ford is the best," thumbs up you will agree, it certainly is the truck that brought the low tire pressure
trucks actually have two very beautiful and remember all "the ford is the best," thumbs up you will agree, it certainly is the truck that brought the low tire pressure
Those were teh BFG A/T's right? Those tires suck for larger trucks... I had a couple sets before on rangers, but I get did stuck occasionally. KM2's on my taco now, never gotten stuck.
@SuperchargedMustang5 It was my first and last time i ever got stuck with the raptor. Those bfg's had to go. My nitto trail grapplers so far haven't failed me.
Great video and great fun! Smart to have a pair of you out there cause that would suck to be out there by yourself. Thinking about getting a winch just for those times though. Love the Raptors but were out of my price range. Have fun and stay safe too! :o)
Oh yeah, good to see y'all aren't afraid of possibly damaging your new trucks. I know people that BOUGHT a Raptor but refuse to take it off road because it might get damaged.
And situations like this is why my buddy's get me to bring my 92 f250 IDI along, for dragging people out. Good call on replacing the tires, that was going to say that you gotta get rid of those bfg's that come with the raptor, they're decent for summer conditions, but anything else? Or up here in Canada? Hell no, you can go on Craigslist and find just about every pair sold with a raptor listed there. :/
Cool video man. Just an fyi, and some words from the wise, offloading like you're doing here can severely damage your paint and rims/tires. It's tricky to tell which holes are deep if possible to tell where holes are at all - unless the trail is well known by the driver. The ice is the issue. It can scratch your bumper and doors (which I hope didn't happen) and your rims will get scratched up. Your tires should fare okay, but ice can be tricky and can cut up a sidewall good. Hope those new nitt
@5155BRad lol, i really did get worried because i saw a message on the dash saying that i lost alot of tire pressure on one of the tires. That was the reason why i didnt try and enable 4wd lo or the lockers. I thought i had a flat but it ended up being my fault for not having air caps on the tires. A little pebble pushed the pin to the side and i was losing alot of air.
@2010svtraptor My messages aren't getting posted for some reason but yeah, I got the tires confused..
That's a good looking tire and I'd like to know how you think of it once you break them in.
I'm using the tires I mentioned before, the BFG Mud Terrain KM2 and it's been a great tire in the mud, gravel and on the rocks.. They have great street manners too and not too noisy at all.
I currently have 12k miles on them and they still look new. I hope I can get 40k to 50k out of them.
thanks, so far in the snow they have been great. I have not had a chance to test them in the mud yet. This weekend i will probably be going to another trail which is mostly sand so i'll let you know.
During the summer i been through that same trail and never had an issue getting stuck. I would have to blame it on all the thick ice that was in tht mud. I also think that if the raptor had some nice mud tires it would then be unstoppable. This thing is a beast.
so i noticed you back up to the truck to pull it out... whouldn't it work better the other way? you would have the weight of the engine and the other truck for traction versus taking weight of the front tires?

But they make so much noise on the street.
I look forward to the video.

Oh yes, I did have them confused..
That's a good looking tire. I'd like to know how they work out for you.
I'm currently using the tires I mentioned before.. (BFG Mud Terrain KM2)..
I'm very happy with them on and off road.
Great mud, rock and gravel traction and very good street manners. Not much sand around here. :)
I've put about 12k miles on them and they still look new.
I hope I can get 40k - 50k miles out of them.
