I read that once a few people saw Andy Kaufman come at around 1 in the morning at a ice cream store. One of the women jokingly asked Andy to wrestle, they all laughed but not Andy. Andy rolled up his sleeves and pinned her down in just a few seconds, shook her hand, and left. He never broke character.

Nah. I think it's more the sound of slurping soup. It's funny, cause it actually doesn't fit for eating ice cream (except the end, when he's slurping the rest out of the bowl)

I read in Zmuda's book that one variation of this conisted of Andy eating a bowl of mashed potatoes and then taking a nap on stage.

Actually "eating dinner" would've been even funnier because he could've gone through various courses... eaten, slurped, and chomped foods of different consistencies... it would've been a mind-blowing experience for us all.
