  • I LOVE the Nicholas Brothers. What a Blessing from God! Thank you to the person that posted this video.

  • Harold was darling when he was yelling yeah! They were talented beyond their years. They were true prodgies in the world of dance.

  • This is my favourite clip of the Nicholas brothers dancing on you tube. You can really see the raw talent of them both shining through... And their feet move so fast they are almost a blur! Of course the Stormy Weather routine is astonishing... but that was much later, here they are just kids and not so polished. Nontheless they were still better as kids than anyone else as adults. They were unique!

  • Damn...They were even kids doing it in showbiz!

  • Um..... Where there ever a age that Little Harold couldn't dance? I mean... did he pop of Mamna and say "Where's my shoes at. I gotta get bizzee."? Their ability to time change in their tempo. I assume he was born with that skill since he could do it so young.

  • AHA! Micheal Jackson wasn't the first to stand end on his toes.

Its obvious it got it from these guys.

No discredit from MJ for MJ was amazing but the Nicholas Brothers are the original child prodigies of stage talent in dancing. Not MJ.

  • @creaturebotman

These guys were his teachers by the way.

  • @1Dubbelman its sopposed to be a joke that their dancing is so "hot", that a fire started

  • So, this was the inspiration for Michaels' en pointe move? And the skeleton in the Ghost video? I wonder how many of today's singers study a move or a person like Michael did? NONE! All they want today are fame and money.

  • lol harlod was 11 and fayard was 18 they are so cute little and adorble though and they sound so cute you kno i think i want pie now though

  • Incredible, talented duo.

  • This was the little Michael of his time. Harold was about 11 here, his big brother already grown. Harold grew up to marry Dorothy Dandridge and had a daughter, Harolyn, whom they institutionalized for retardation.

  • i enjoy how the orchestra is all in a giant pie.

  • Beautiful to see the look on the older man's face as he watches the child dance.

  • e aquele final de caveira??? que viaje hheahehea

  • wow... when entertainers had to have talent!

  • Inspirations of my own childhood. Started to study tap at 9yrs old and by 18 became an extraordinary member of the National Association Teachers of Dance, London, UK.

Cudos to the Nicolas Bros as well as all responsible for the creation and posting of this inspirational clip. Love it!!!

  • one is 8 years old and one is 12 years old WTF

  • Actually the youngest is 11 (born in 1921) and the oldest is 18 (born in 1914)

  • It's amazing to think that these two were still going strong into the 1990s.

  • All the world will remember you forever... You'll guide the heart of every dancer who want to follow your steps... Rest in peace Nicholas Bros...

  • that was random

  • The younger one, Harold, looks just like my little cousin. He played Sarge the choreographer on "The Five Heartbeats"

  • Didn't they start out at the Cotton Club?

  • Adorable, amazing kids, who went on to become the greatest dance duo of all time as adults. I love listening to little Harold feeling the groove and yelling, "Yea!? :)

God bless both of their lives.

  • that was AMAZING!!!!

  • My goodness, they were just lads. AMAZING!!

  • outstanding love it, and love the cute kid, i bet he old now :) just loved it

  • They are both deceased, sadly. They were brilliance in tap shoes. RIP.

  • outstanding love it, and love the cute kid, i bet he old now :) just loved it

  • Incredible!

I just saw this on PBS "Hollywood Singing and Dancing."

  • This is once in a life time talent. Outstanding, 5 stars.

  • oh my fucking God...the alpha and the omega. American originals..best ever lived..

  • wow is all i can say.

this was the one of the first videos my grandmother introduced me to [years ago] 4rm the nicholas brothers and ive loved them ever since

    they were incredible performers :)

  • outstanding!

  • The Greatest Dancers EVER!!!

  • Thank you so much Romeman01 for that information.

  • I had the pleasure to meet both brothers....

    They were truly amazing!

  • Proud to say Fayard was a friend of mine. Worked on Phil Alvin's county fair 2000 record, where Fayard sings and tap dances on one tune. I got to see him tape dance in the studio. He was over 80 at the time. It was so cool. He still sounded like a kid. We spent two full days with him, dropping him off at the Reseda Motion Picture retirement home. These guys are as important to american culture as any of our greatest writers and artists, and is surely underated and noted.

  • Did Fayard pass just a few years ago?

  • Sure did, he was close to 90. R.I.P. he was the best~~~~~~ gave Astaire a life~~~!!! and Fred was very candid about it, too. God bless them both, they brought joy to a twisted planet

  • he was 92 when he died... he died in 2006, harold was 79 when he died in 2000

  • can you make any more entries with info about Fred Astaires comments , history , connection with these two brothers ?? If so , muchos gracias . Incredible stuff . where is talent like that today >>

  • what happen to this days??

  • That was sublime.

  • ...wow...

  • Oh! Such bliss watching these talented kids! But I'd love to know the name of the band because the music is so wonderful. Does anyone know?

  • "Black Maria" is performed in this film by The Nicholas Brothers (tap dance) with Eubie Blake And Band, according to imbd (The Internet Movie Database).

  • great stuff

  • it's so strange to see them as children so skilled. and the skeletons were a cute touch.

  • yeah i too like he skeleton touch .. these guys were tha originals and bef the best . they sure wud burn up anything that competed against em .. their speed ,specially in the later films was incredible

  • It just doesnt get better than these guys!

  • OMG..and today we gotta rap!

  • Thank you for this! It's amazing to see this kind of hoofin!!

  • i've been looking for that in full! Thanks for the upload!
