I have seen Wicked 4 times during Idina's contract because of the way she sung this song. I just seen it again last week took my wife because she never seen it before and it was good but not like when Idina and Kristen sang it. I told my wife she has no idea the voice on these two. They should both do the last show of Wicked on Broadway.
I never cared for Idina Menzel's performances that I have seen on TV (even the Tony Awards performance) and thought she was a bit overrated but I actually liked this version. She adds more character and dimension to the song.
It's interesting to see her out of costume. I fell in love with Wicked when I first saw it on broadway on a school trip. The wicked will have special place in my heart. She's amazing. I never cared about Glinda, but Elphaba ruled the show.

You don't have to like it and everyone is entitled to there opinion but you don't seem well informed about Musical theater. If it isn't for your that's ok, but if you are interested in it even a little, (because you have posted a lot in regards to a Musical theater song) than keep an open mind, you may find a song that means something to you.

You can tell by the register... it seems more comfortable for her in Bma instead of C#ma.

@SingJiya Actually, Idina is a lot more popular than Beiber. Her voicce is reknown from her work on the musical (and movie) Rent. And her turn in Wicked as the Witch. Not to mention her appearances on one of the most popular television shows in the world Glee. Beiber, as he himself has explained, can't even sing soem of the songs on his debut CD now because his voice has changed. Regardless of how "correctly" he may hold the microphone as he lip synchs through his performances.

Have you ever watched American Idol and seen those singer who tap the mic to the beat while they are singing? Those are the seminars she needs they will also tell her to be a total pro singer one must hold the mic 2" - 3" away from the lips. 3" when your really belting out a part, 2" when singing softly to normal.
