@mavsclass07 I made this scene a long time ago. All I can remember is the use of 1.000.000 fillhairs, well Im not sure o.O You have to try different material settings. The grass should not be too green, with some yellow in it. The colour is very important for the grass to look realistic. Maybe I try to rebuild some kind of grass landscape again, after reinstalling Cinema 4D...

Yes, I uses GI, but the sun and sky aren't physical. I made them with the Sky-Plugin for Cinema 4D.

what are u talking about 30 hours? what are ur computer specs? the kinda same thing 200 frames rendered in my computer 1hour and 32minutes.

i do in this at my school for tsa, and for me to make a simple animation of a camera going through the front of a building and out the back door, took about 4 class periods. (middle school classes)

why is the grass not animated?

Yes, there should be some wind in the scene, but i set the grass' stiffness too high, and the render time was too long to rerender it!

The grass is done with c4d's sky plug-in.

Of course is the grass made with hair.....

How could I build such a scene, without knowing what the difference between sky and hair is?

Ehm....I think this isn't the right software for machinima, but for films with your own models.

There should be some wind, but I set the stiffness of the grass too high.
