Cool thing about the videos of these for the Big 4 anyway, Metallica's riff video has over 19'000 views, Megadeth's has over 14'000 views, Slayer's has over 10'000 views, and Anthrax has over 5'000 views. That's exact;y what I expected, most famous band gets the most views, and it goes down from there. Fame DOES seem to matter, even in thrash metal.

@ThrashMetalRiffs It would have been great!!! I'm quite young instead, I had my first Slayer's gig this year. The crowd was so full of life that Slayer played an amazing show. It was the longest show of Slayer in Big 4 Festivals, great setlist! Tom Araya sang in a fucking evil way, he was screaming like in the old times. Holt and King was like gods, Lombardo made our body tremble. Araya was "smiling" and he said "You're totally crazy for Slayer. Criminally out of your mind". I was so near!!!

But I got Reign of Blood up on Youtube & I know it's sounds funny, but feel I've made a significant discovery. They are awesome. all this nonsense about Satanists. my top 3 slayer riffs are 03. - Seasons In The Abyss; 02. - Hell Awaits; 01. - Killing Fields,killing fields is from the most unknown album form slayer, divine intervention, an awesome album but so underated... some people need to check the songs of this album, like 213, divine intervention, SS-3, Killing Fields... they are fucking awesome!

@element271 This is Slayer man. How do you do a Top 10 for them. They just do brutal Riff after Riff after fuckin Riff. And name a Riff already on the vid that isn't worthy. There isn't one. Just can't fit any more in. I think I had about 40 Riffs to choose from. Probably the toughest task of all the Top 10s I've done. I've seen em countless times live and they deliver every precision Riff note for note every time. They are juggernauts of thrash metal! Long may they reign...in blood!

I have to disagree strongly with 4. Slayer haven't released a good album since Seasons in the Abyss for me. Also disappointed with the lack of material from Show no Mercy. Tormentor and The Antichrist have some of their best riffs. A little too much from RiB for me. The only memorable songs for me was Post Mortem, Angel of Death and Raining Blood. Seasons in the Abyss also had some of their best riffs. Overall nice job though.

@crowstar111 I never said that I discard intros.The reason I liked the main Riff better is because it was a better Riff. What I meant was the intro RIFF felt like it was just a starter before the main course. I don't ever take a Riff because of where it exists in a song. I choose a Riff because I like the Riff. If you listen to a lot of my vids, you will see that the Riff is king in all of em. Many do not have lyrics. If it has singing it is because there is a killer riff behind the singing. TTD
