Most fats used in the fast food industry or food inustry in general are not butter,coconut oil,cream or cacao butter.. they are unsaturated in form of vegetable oils,shortenings,etc.. no fast food restaurant uses coconut or palm oil or ghee or beef fat to cook their fries!! CSPI forced those fats off in the 80s/90s!!!
I'm a big advocate for saturated fat, and that as long as you get it from the right sources such as butter, grass fed beef, and coconut oil, and not fast food, then there is no way it could be bad for your health. However, I heard that one of the reasons why saturated fat and cholesterol get bad raps is because they say the body makes all of it that it needs. Well, I've never known for the body to produce fat on its own.
