@Gsxrchick79 the original track was the ending to Sonic 3 I believe. The two songs sound really similar to each other (especially with the Sonic 3 ending song slowed down) and even started the controversy of Michael Jackson actually working on the music for Sonic 3.

I still don't know if it has been proven true or if it's just assumed at this point ;) .
