If this show were made today, the exotic car I say should be used is the MERCEDES-BENZ SLS AMG, or the departed SLR McLaren!!! Both these exotic Mercs boast serious power and performance here.
This was such a fun show. yeah, it was just like a lot of the 80's crime shows, but the chemistry between Brian Keith and Daniel Hugh Kelly was so great. It was more of a comedy show sometimes than a crime show. The shot in the beginning of Keith busting through the doors in his boxers and robe and the shotgun still makes me laugh.
@newscaster13 David Morgan sang the "Drive" theme for most of the shows' run. There was a second Hardcastle & McCormick theme that was sung by Joey Scarbury through the early half of Season 2 called Back To Back, but people wanted the "Drive" theme back.
Yeah...Brian Keith took his own life over money problems...and from what I understood...he believed he was of no use to anyone anymore...nobody would hire him for anything is what he was upset about.
Stephen J. Cannell always deliver, because he always makes the best tv shows with major success. That is why Cannell is often successful and if I had my way, I'd buy all of his shows on DVD, every season, hands down.
This series was great.....I have al 65 Episodes + Pilot on DVD now.
There was also MacGyver, The A-Team, Knight Rider, Stingray, Streethawk, Airwolf and many other series in TV which were also nice too, but Hardcastle & McCormick was always my favorite series.
If you do could upload for everyone the closing theme from the episode with the leprachuan's !!! And if you do make sure you show the closing scene of the rainbow over the "Gulls Way estate" with the final dialog ???

This show (in its 1st season) kicked Knight Rider's ass (in its 2nd season) in the ratings.

R.I.P. Stephen J Cannell one of the greatest tv show producers ever.

1:05 only Brian Keith could pull off the bathrobe-and-boxers-with-a-shotgun bit like a man. Rest in peace.
