  • Having spent time in Japan, I can say they have a much healtheir relationship with their bodies than the Anglophile cultures I have lived in to date. Sento - communal bathing - is completely normal there and, until the American occupation after WWII, it was common for men and women to communally bathe together.

  • 打った後に腕が下がるのはよくないです。

  • C'est dans ces moments là que je n'aimerait pas être japonais. Imagine montrer tes fesses à tes cousines...

  • American culture is anti-sex...anti-human....and the rest of the world knows it. These athlete-musicians are properly dressed for these rituals/exercises/performances. Scantily clad males shock middle America and their religious family values which breeds mental illness, body hatred, and all kinds of ridiculous social rules.

  • fundoshi looks really cool~

  • Dr Kinsey noted that in some cultures it is acceptable for a male to be anatomically male. For example, it is acceptable for a male in some cultures to adjust himself (including the American baseball mini-culture, obviously), and speedos would be more acceptable in some non-American cultures. I believe that at least part of the reason this culture often allows loin cloths is that they are more accepting of the male body, and that the religious beliefs of the area are not very anti-male(ness).

  • I know it's tradition but why do all the male performers only wear fundoshi loin clothes?

  • Beautiful performance !
