  • Just bear in mind we call stella 'wife beater' in the uk.

  • you realy need to get more foam

In Belgium we drink it with a good inch of foam

Hold the bottle higher if you want more

  • ITS A MALT LIQUOR!! NOT A BEER!! Fucking christ man those are 2 very different types

  • @greatestsongsofLIFE is that why the bottle says premium lager beer?

  • @bleedingxhearts2 maybe there are two different types but mine said MALT LIQUOR not BEER. I dont lie thats just what my experience is

  • @greatestsongsofLIFE Mine doesn't say Malt Liquor on it. Where are you from? Perhaps the laws there demand the can be labeled that way. BTW, "malt liquor" is beer. It's a term used to describe a specific type of beer...and in different countries the term malt liquor can mean different things. Do your homework before you post.

  • @greatestsongsofLIFE MALT LIQUOR is BEER. IT'S S STYLE OF BEER

  • I like Stella Artois. I think it's pretty good.

  • Although i don't agree with your review on this beer, but i appreciate your thoughts. I really enjoy your beer reviews and they have helped me a lot when i just don't know what to buy for the night ! Thanks. P.S I think if you turned the T.v or music down during the video it would be a perfect video, i just found it a little distracting and made it hard to focus on what you were saying !

  • that beer smells like a fat woman's sweaty ass and it taste's like her shit!

  • @GiovanniRM2 wrong, it smells like her regular shit, and tastes like her diarriah

  • be carefull drinking that shit youll be on your arse after about 8 bottles

  • Never liked this beer-way too bitter tasting.

  • what is a good beer for someone who isn't used to beer.

  • @judgesfootball54 I honestly don't think I can answer that question.

  • @judgesfootball54 lol if its ur first time drinking beer just take slow sips or just drink it real fast so u dont taste it then u should get used to it

  • @judgesfootball54 Well what do you usually drink in terms of alcohol?

  • @judgesfootball54 definately not a Stella! :D rather strong for a first timer. it just depends where your from and what you think you can start of with.

  • @judgesfootball54 landshark

  • @judgesfootball54 Blue Moon.

Beer snobs don't find it to be good, but it is very popular for people just getting into beer. Very tasty :)

  • @Over9000Gingers Beer snobs tend to overrate their favorite beers. I can't stand beer snobs. Plus they are snobby over beer, which is relatively cheap compared to other alcholic stuff that people are snobby over (like wine and champagne). The crowd at Ratebeer have to be the worst

  • @ThePGeraFuckingSucks Yeah.

I dislike Blue Moon now. Snow Shoe's Snoweisen is much better.

  • @judgesfootball54 Fosters

  • @judgesfootball54 White beer. Hoegarden or Kronenberg blanc. They are sweeter and fruitier and not too 'beery' if thats a word. Once you get into them you might move to the dark side.

  • You are wrong to assume that lagers are skunky. Lagers are one of only two major types of beer that exist: Ale and Lager. The skunkyness has nothing to do with the quality of the beer, but how light reacts with the beer. The older the beer and the more exposure to light, the skunkier the beer. There are some really good pale lagers out there, obviously Stella crapois isn't one of them. Try Weihenstephaner Original, it will change your mind about pale lagers (as long as its pretty fresh).

  • @Karmara7 I find the color of the bottle has a lot to do with it to, I find that white and green bottles often contain skunky beer. Take Heineken for example. I'm not a fan of Heineken, but when I do drink it which isn't very often, I rather drink it out of a can, as I find it less skunky than the bottled version

  • Yuck

  • Well, it looks like you have some sort of shitty old bottle gone over the best before date. Which as I see may apply for most of your videos. Anyway, I'm quite disappointed from your videos. Making reviews from bottles and cans (probably old and treated who knows how)? Bollocks! Go and get some from the tank.

  • @ludekkZmrd I think the real problem is that you don't like my negative opinion of some beers and you can't handle it any other way but by being a dick about it. I have a better idea than me running around trying to find these beers on tap, and paying far more money than they are worth: go watch someone else's videos. Cheers.

  • @elharlock That is not the problem because I don't really care about your opinions about the beers I know. Well, after all, I know them. But there are some things that gave me a clue why I'd not pay heed about the videos of those I don't know. For example, that Stella here is by far the worst looking one I've ever seen. Probably a bad bottle. And you are doing a review based on that. Or that talk about not giving a shit about the head in the Pilsner Urquell video?

  • @ludekkZmrd Well than, kindly watch someone else's videos. Problem solved.

  • @elharlock Sorry. I intend to. But I was trying to ba a little constructive (Like: You could go to a pub instead of buying bottled/canned beer in the macro or whatever you call supermarkets over there. It is really a big difference. At least in Europe. But hey, if you are from some small town, I could see the problem.).

  • @elharlock Hey, while stella is probably the most popular belgian lager abroad, inside belgium Jupiler owns about 75percent of the local belgian beer market, stella artois is the most popular beer in britian and some other foreign countries but not in belgium. I think you should review Jupiler, i bet you would like it, it is the best lager ever.

  • @elharlock Or he could just respect your opinion and situation -_-

  • @ludekkZmrd Stella Artois always sucks, even if its fresh. I've tried it numerous times and its always skunky, probably because of that fucktard green bottle. even if I could get it fresh on tap I'm sure it wouldn't impress me in the least. Its sucks that these shitty macro beers give pilseners such a bad rep. I have heard from many beer experts that good pilsener is only local and fresh, so unless you plan on visiting germany or the czech repuplic, you're probably out of luck.

  • @Karmara7 Luckily, I am from the Czech Republic :-) But you are right, the best beer is the one on the tap.

  • @elharlock Don't worry, I'm also in the UK and agree with you. In fact I'd say it's a totally overrated lager. It's one of the biggest selling in the UK, if not the biggest, mostly due to constant advertising suggesting it's superior to other beers by using the slogan 'reassuringly expensive'. I guess people are just too embarrassed to admit they've been conned so continue to buy into like the emperors new clothes. I think your reviews are great and Doom Bar is my No.1 (on tap here).

  • @ludekkZmrd I agree, i'm drinkin some now and mine has a nice head......and the four peaks kilt lifter i drank the other night had a nice head too....i think this guy gets old berr....lol

  • omg stella is de beste bier in de wereld =D

  • In belfast stella is also called wreck the house!

  • hey we finally agree on one...this beer was skunky ..not too much..but some...not to bad under the skunk..but pretty uneventful beer altogether

  • Cant stand this beer horrible twang of a flavour always turn it down .. becks + peroni ftw !

  • you need to do a video that does your top 10 beers

  • @jamesrebel130 I might just do that soon.

  • @elharlock oh i would look forward to that. VERY MUCH SO!

  • Here in North America, we are choked with piss-poor imitation lagers. So most of us who branch out from the big macros take a pretty dim view of lager for the first while, as the wider world of ales, porters, stout, wittbier and the like open up to us. Stella is an absolute over-hyped beer that gets more attention than it deserves. Of the bigger Belgian beers, I prefer Leffe Blonde, but Hoegaarden is nice as well. Of course abbey beer is the platinum standard of beer around the world.

  • its salty yuck

  • i am a stells drinker i never have any brands of beer. i dont think i will ever have any brands of beer apart from STELLA. its the most big selling beer in england to date. . 5.2% well it take about 9 cans to gat me pissed and about 14 bottles. as i think they go flat faster then cans.

  • budweiser the best beer in the country

  • what is differnt types of budwiser are there.?

  • This is my favorite beer ever. Very tasty...very nice!

  • Yeah I know Ford is American....your point being?

For the record, I have nothing against Americans or Canadians nor am I Anti-American or Anti-Canadian ( I have family who live in Vancouver) I'm just not that keen on North American beer.

On another note, they do produce some fine liquor!

Sorry if anyone was offended by my earlier comment.

    Dave

  • I agree. North American beer is atrocious! Apart from Samuel Adams, I haven't come across an import beer that can't beat the pants off of any domestic brew.

  • i know Stella Artois isnt the best belgian beer, not by far, but its still good. specially since its mass-marketed

  • Yeah, it's not horrible or anything. Drinkable to be sure. Personally, I just find lagers quite bland so I mark them harder than I do ales. A lager really has to be special to get my attention.

  • And say what 3 Lagers are your top three?

  • Hmmm, keep in mind I don't really drink a lot of lagers, so compared to ales my experience is a bit limited. I'd say Anchor Steam, Radeberger and probably DAB would be my top three with Tuborg and Sam Adams trailing close behind.

  • Interesting. I like Stella - more than Sam Adams because I think Stella is very balanced and has a nice sweetness. But I do really like Sam Adams Winter Lager which is dark, full and delicious. I watched your video on Carlsberg and I am looking to try that soon. Cheers!

  • awesome review as usual!

  • tun off the fucking music

  • Fuck you. Watch something else.

  • That "Skunky" smell you keep going-on about is called "The Aroma" which is probably produced by the Saaz Hops they use.

North Americans haven't got a clue how to produce or even appreciate a good quality beer!

I mean c'mon, who in their right mind would use RICE as an ingredient for their so-called premium beer? (Budwieser)

Also in Vancouver I had the unfortunate oppertunity of trying Kokanee,Molson & Sleeman's all of which I felt had a "watered-down" taste to them.

  • No, it was skunked.

"North Americans haven't got a clue how to produce or even appreciate a good quality beer!"

The ignorance of that statement, I assume, comes from traditional uninformed bigotry. The fact that you would slam North American beer as a whole, only naming sub-par macro brands (which is what Stella is, too, btw) while ignoring the MASSIVE and innovative microbrew revolution in North America only helps confirm this.

    Or perhaps you're just stupid.

  • where you born in a box north americans make beer just fine, canadians in particular

btw i like the name you no ford is american?

  • @chrissept21 North Americans do make fine beer....except in Mexico

  • may i ask, why french culture has got to do with it??

  • Best lighter type beer I've ever tasted.

Try it on tap, pretty dam good .

  • Never understood what the hype was aboot this beer. Its Belgiums "Corona". Belgium has way better beers. I guess this is the most easily pallatable, doesn't offend the masses.

  • hmmm belgiums corona. i don't think it is

  • @AceOfSpade1234 Corona is glorified malt liquor. Just because a beer is POPULAR does not mean it doesn't suck. Justin Bieber is one of the most POPULAR singers in the world, that still don't mean he doesn't SUCK

  • stella is the sh*t!! 5 outta 5 biatchesssssssssss!! elharlocks a plank!

  • Stella Artois was one of only two beers that i wasnt able to finnish, i hated it that much. I picked up a can when i was having lunch at the air port IN BRUSSELS. I was very dissapointed with Stella, it tasted very strongly of metal. Which was probably the cans fault so after watching this review i may consider picking up a bottle

  • Are you Canadian?

  • Yes.

  • "out-standing" not "oot-standing"

  • What are you on aboot?

  • what's with that music? sounds like a 70s french porn.

  • Heh, it's the theme from the classic Orson Welles film, "The Third Man". I thought something European would be fitting for this one.

  • I rather drink Ganges water downstream from where they cremate the corpses then take a swig of any(!) Belgian lager I mean would you drink French whisky or Scottish wine for that matter?

  • the stella artois is a little beer good but not the better we have.

  • Yup, I know.

  • Sounds good.

  • Thanks for the review. Speaking of Belgian beers and summer drink, in the last couple of days I've been drinking the Belgian lager Martens Pils. It's a wonderful beer, big foamy head, slips very smoothly in the throat and its bitterness is very low comparing to other lagers I've drank. Recommended!
