Screw it I loved this movie. Yeah it has stupid parts and childish parts but it was a good time. If you didn't like this movie then you were either thinking about it too much (rule one of comedies only turn your brain on when you don't get a joke, don't leave it on or you won't be able to enjoy some really funny movies) or they just didn't get it. They didn't get the right vibe from it which is understandable but this is a damn good movie and theres no two ways about it.

This is not the same goof Carrey that we have seen before. I loved this movie because he was so down to earth and it made sense. But still was extremely funny. The only part of the movie that relates to the old Carrey was the taping his face for a laugh. That's it.

This is, to me, a step up for jim carrey actually. He really did tone down on all the goofy humor. Sure it's still not a great comedy, but you can definitly see a good progression. Compared to bruce almighty for example, it works better, he's calmer and is actually a believable (although naive) character.

The message of the movie is to just let go sometimes, say yes to things... We've all had that moment, when a friend calls and we just go "i'm too busy sorry".

I went to see this movie last night and to be honest, I was a little dissapointed. Jim Carrey used to be my favourite comedy actor. Movies like Ace Ventura, Dumb & Dumber and Liar Liar were pure genius. After I saw his more serious movies, like Number 23 and Eternal Sunshine, I was like "Wow, he's actually a really good actor, but I wanna see him do more goofy stuff like he did before" In Yes Man he did, but it just wasn't as funny as it was before.. too bad :(
