James said this guy learned their set in 4 practices. He's much more clean than Daryn, and thank God he doesn't use 3 snares or whatever. He had a basic drumset and he still threw down with it.

Great job \m/ very nice. I don't like Arsis' new drummer though. Too show-offy. Take for example We Are The NIghtmare-there's the part where the guitars go down to no distortion playing an almost soothing riff and wtf Darren is still doing some complex bass drum patters and shit. It's like cmon, you can do that when it fits with the song, not all song every song.

hey dude i felt that way about darren's work but that part you are talkin about makes more sense if you think of it as a marching band drumroll with his feet if that makes any sense. darren is powerful and solid as fuck, when i saw this shawn guy he didnt seem as explosive but he has a lot of potential so ill give him a break since he learned those songs rather quick for their thrash n burn tour! i am also a huge fan of mike van dyne's work! heil arsis!!

ok first off triggers dont make your playing better. Its only so that another sound can be substituted for the drum used. If anything a person with triggers is better because it accentuates everything.
