We think this is a wonderful program that NCHCFA has created. It's so true that CNA's and other professional get so little appreciation. So thanks to NCHCFA for creating this program - we hope that many of the facilities take advantage of this opportunity to show their staff just how important they are. Thank God someone in the U.S. reconized what cnas do for the medical profession. When I go into a patients room, I'm always called "nurse." But when I tell them that I'm just a nurse aide they say, " Whats a nurse aide ?" We don't even exist to the patients, nurses, or doctors. In my 9 yrs. of working as a cna, not once has a nurse told me what a good job I'm doing. Except for a therapist. And that meant the world to me.
