what did u like more the 5.9 or the axial i just bought a new xl a few weeks ago with the 3 speed and pupe a jp-4 tuned pipe on it just wondering if i should upgrade the motor and sell my buddy my 5.9

that savage runs very very close to my modded HPI F4.6 savage. I wished we lived close together I would love to race your truck. nice savage man those Axail RRs are rippers. that may be my next motor to trick out.

I have this engine in a monster GT and it is very nice its faster than my picco .27 and it seems to be built better to.

Think those are 23mm tyres too, so they get a good circumference on them at high speed.

I've put E-savage tyres on lately, all I'll say is: LOL.

Awesome for some skate park madness, the acceleration is ALMOST breath taking.. Even with a front mount fuel tank, it pops up the front maybe 50% of the time when full. As it empties, the savy spends more time on its back! LOL

Sounds good. Get some Nova shoes and run them without the weights and you will be set. I race my Axial .28 powered Savage with those shoes and I kick Revo ass all ray long.

Im running standard clutch shoes, I heard more speed and acceleration is achievable with a good alloy/ally set of shoes on the clutch...

o wow my stock savage only does 75km/h. with 17cb and 47spur + tuned pipe. if u geared it a little more u could get crazy top end. i was wondering how u like the 3 spd i have heard there good but ive also herd there a pain and i dont know if i should spend the money on 1.

Yeah 3 speed is awesome, took me a LONG time to get it tuned up... I found the shift times were way out when i changed motors. The best thing to do is turn 3rd gear fully in (so it never engages) and tune the 2nd gear til perfect.. Then begin tuning 3rd because u can access it easy from the port hole of the gearbox.

It is a sweet upgrade in my opinion. I love it, even if the gain is marginal. I love the sound!
