I'll summerize the reason the Tinman is tin, just for future reference in case someone hasn't read the book. :3

Nick Chopper inhereted his father's job of chopping down trees. He worked hard to earn enough money to marry the girl he loved, but the Wicked Witch of the East enchanted his axe, it would chop off each limb one by one and each time he'd have it replaced by the tinsmith. Eventually his whole body was tin and he had no heart, therefore he believed he could no longer love the girl.

Being a Fan of 'Wicked" and watching this seems a bit confusing! According to the series he loved Nimee, but in Wicked he was forced to marry the wicked witch of the East, who was The wicked witch of the west's sister. He confessed he didn't love her and she called him heartless and used magic to turn him into a 'heartless' tin man. It's so confusing what to believe!

I was like WHAT?!? when Tin Man told me to get rid of the locket and I was like something's up here and it turns out they use to be in love I think.I never really found out what was up with them since I finished the game,but it seems like love :)
