That is Clay D all day. Clay D did all the beats. Magic Mike is great DJ though, but when they broke, Clay was able to get DJs just as good as Mike. Clay even helped put Vicious Base on the map with "Shake that Thang"(which was like an ill-fit for him anyway) . Plus, Mike's music ran himself outta gas after his first two solo albums early 90s(just experimental bass music with East Coast/West Coast flav while Clay, even did collabs with Luke into the mid-90s.
@Kiny28 Hell yeah!!! Down in Homestead, FL!!!!!!!!!!! BABAYYYYY!!!! Tried looking for the Alf track on youtube, but cant find it... Also, "Drop Dem Drawz"
@Kiny28 Hell yeah!!! Down in Homestead, FL!!!!!!!!!!! BABAYYYYY!!!! Tried looking for the Alf track on youtube, but cant find it... Also, "Drop Dem Drawz" Wait, I just found The ALph!!!
all i know is im from colorado and this is the first shit outta miami that jumped out here alot of people bit there style after not alot of people know about this shit
86-87 all over again, this brings back memories! 4 give the skip? LOL! The funny thing is those records had so much bass in them it couldn't be helped. The wax was thick as hell back then too.
Mike was Basically Clay D's producer and worked the sounds and Cuts for this (and a few more) songs.
Mike never recieved the credit or reconition for any of this..(or Money)which led him to a better deal with Cheetah Records. The rest is History man!Now he has More than 16 albums (including compilations)
Strip out the lyrics...and let DJ MAGIC MIKES beats and cuts take over.
Thats the real force behind this jam.
And others have tried but no one has ever done a better scratch of the "freak out" cut than Mike.
This song was a changing force behind the sound of Miami Bass music at the time and helped to set apart florida dj's and there sound from all the rest.
@ripman21 He did. Listen to his stuff afterwards. Clay kept his stuff Miami ghetto style proper. I don't know what Magic Mike was thinking even into his second album. O-Town was too busy trying to be like e'erbody else. Put their hip-hop scene outta gas.
Man my homeboy Tarvis would kill this shit!
