Absolutely Beautiful! I'd love to see more of the process by this Master. There may be iPads and Kindles but there's NOTHING like a real book. Lovely. Thank you for posting.
Excellent videos! Thank you so much for sharing. Your videos cleared up the confusion I had about using the sewing frame. Your videos are beautifully done!!
oh wow....i am so blown away at his technique and the way he teaches. im just in awe. i couldnt understand what was being meant by the 2nd book and his use of the bone folder, but when he clipped the strings and pulled the books apart, it was amazing. thank you for presenting these videos.
Thank you for sharing. Wonderful videos which are easy to understand even though I don't speak Italian. I'm teaching a high school class bookbinding and plan to show these. Thanks again for sharing your amazing talents.
Bellissimo video!
Bravo, fantastic thank you for this tutorial. I am at present out of work and at times feel quite worthless, but people like you enable people like me to engage in something positive. Thank you for your generosity i really cannot thank you enough.
Fantastic! I have no words to describe your marvelous work! My great grandfather was Italian and he was a professional bookbinder - never got to meet him - but now, when I was looking for a tutorial on how to hand sew a book (for the titles I intend to print out of the internet) I come to see this, your fantastic work! Funny how the past meets today in such strange circumstances. Thanks a lot for this inspiring tutorial!
I already have a great love of books but these videos bring on a whole new level of appreciation for the art of bookbinding by hand. Like everyone else, seeing the next step of attaching the endpapers to the cover would be amazing! Thank you again for sharing this talent with me as I am over 7,000 miles away but feel as if I'm right there in Florence!
this leaves me needing so much more info. how do you finish the pages that are folded on the top and the outside? What kind of cover do you use? How do you attach the pages to the cover?
Absolutely excellent videos. Finally a true professional. Very easy to understand even if one doesn't know any Italian. I'm looking for more from the same man. Thank you very much for sharing your talent.
Finally, a quality tutorial! From someone with clear skill and dedication (unlike a lot of videos where the 'expert' just wings it with sub-par materials)! Very enjoyable. I'd love to see more tutorials about how to finish the book.
What material did you use for the book covers? Where can these supplies be purchased?
I think to post this video of old world technique is great. all other videos about book binding are either more sloppy or they are trying to sell you something.
Are there more videos from this gentleman to round out the rest of the steps of bookbinding?
Grazie enormemente per la lezzione. Si vede che lei e davvero un esperto nell soggetto ed era siceramente un piacere sentirla e osservare gli stadii involuti. Congratulazione!

Thank you so much for posting these video's!
I am currently trying to make a journal and this helped me very much!
One question though; How do I sew the paper to the cover? (In my case, a suede cover)
