He's also having a greater year than usual, too bad jays won't make the playoffs and too bad Bautista may not have another season like this again

First off, learn a thing about baseball and PED use.The guy isn't even big like past steroid users, so wut makes you think steroids would have helped him this year? The only thing steroids, HGH and other PEDs do for hitters is make them BIGGER and STRONGER. Jose Bautista isn't even the same size as Vernon Wells.
You don't magically start hitting HRs just b/c u take PEDs. You need to lift weights and get physically stronger. Bautista is exactly the same weight as he's always been.

jose is a sweet spot hitter kind off like Griffey when it came to the sweet spot. Its the power hitters that hit the ball out of the ball park in every direction that you should be worried about when it comes to steroids. Jose can't hit a home run on the right side of the field.

I think what he's doing is incredible but we have seen this before and sometimes they have a huge letdown year to follow because pitchers get ready for you and give you little to hit. I think the blue jays should trade him if the offer is right but this really is something he might have 60! If he has 30 or more next year he's the real deal

The jays also had a new batting coach this year and they all credit that coach fir their home run frenzy this year, like I saw a report in the batting coach and he deconstructed all of their swings and worked on it with everyone of them. The coach said he told bautista to make a slight uppercut motion or something like that. He's also having a greater year than usual, too bad jays won't make the playoffs and too bad Bautista may not have another season like this again

@elsenciillo If you extrapolate his HR numbers for 2009 and 2008 over a full season (roughly 600-650) ABs, he's in the 25-30 hr range. So he's got definite pop, he's just never received the playing time.

The only games that sell are against the Yanks and Red Sox. It's against Seattle and both teams are way out of the playoffs. There's nothing to play for and it's not against a division foe. With Boston and NY you've got their fans there too. I'm positive there were no Seattle fans aside from the small Asian fanbase that flocks to support Ichiro.

Why would Jose Bautista take steroids? He's not Alex Rodriguez, Manny Ramirez or Albert Pujols. No one knew who he was before this year. He trained with George Bell and if you've ever seen Bell play, you'd notice they have similar swings. Bell smashed 47 with that swing. If Bautista hits 40 next year, I might believe he's on steroids , but until then. Don't point the finger. Especially if your s Yankees fan.

First off, learn a thing about baseball and PED use.The guy isn't even big like past steroid users, so wut makes you think steroids would have helped him this year? The only thing steroids, HGH and other PEDs do for hitters is make them BIGGER and STRONGER. Jose Bautista isn't even the same size as Vernon Wells.
You don't magically start hitting HRs just b/c u take PEDs. You need to lift weights and get physically stronger. Bautista is exactly the same weight as he's always been.

@CarterMvp Benito Santiago took PEDs and he never gained mass. Anyone can take PEDs and not gain wait because all PEDs is improve recovery time when you do work out. Meaning you build muscle faster and recover faster. Doesn't mean your going to become super huge unless you work out a lot. BTW I don't care if he's on PEDs, Bonds is still the greatest.

@Whodilish Yes i know this. Pitchers take them for arm endurance. Like I said, U don't magically get big from taking PEDs. HR hitters NEED to gain mass in order to get stronger, turning deep flyballs into HRs and opposite field flyouts into HRs. Benito Santiago had to have gained some mass and strength if he was takign them during his 30 HR year. Otherwise there is absolutely no point to take them since positional baseball players do not need endurence to survive a game.
