This album was buried on my mp3 player after I did a mass music exchange. I stumbled upon this album on guard duty while bored out of my mind. This album had the same effect on me as Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon.
What was an afterthought band became a nightly ritual for me as I HAD to listen to this album.
I must say am sad that the singer is dead but am still happier knowing this band than not at all.
So, my condolences to everyone hurt and know that this band is still converting!

@Kayleahful Your not weird at all, I was crushed when Peter Steele died. I swear It felt like I had known him like any of my friends. Its been almost a year and I still mourn his passing. I'm pretty sure that we'll see him on the other side. P.S. Did you notice that he prophesied his death on Profit of Doom? He died early in the morning on April 14th, they think, nobody really knows. Apophis passes on April 13th 2029 and 2036. Maybe he's coming back? ; )
@BellatrixAlicia -- do yourself a favor and get it October Rust captures the band at their artistic zenith. They were great thero throughout their career, but I think this album stands out as among the best from any band, period.

I always heard songs earlier in my years (I'm 28 now) of Type O Negative, but I never got into them too much. Seemingly appropriate that I can relate more-so to Peter's lyrics now that I've experienced so much more than when I was a 15 year old and this album came out. Failed previous relationships, the struggles of life, and the realization of my own mortality. I think it's important for everyone to remember that only death is certain. This band gives me comfort in the finality of death. R.I.P.

This is bloody one of their best ever. I'm going to miss them very very very much. Their albums have ... something deep, they can cover a lot of my emotions. I have a lot of memories, good and bad when listning to their songs.

I remember hearing this song for the first time a while ago on the Nosferatu Movie.
I hope Johnny, Josh, and Kenney are doing okay (Including Carnivor) sence peters passing. Im worried about them. I guess I just got too attached to them like a leach. Its like I got to know them through their music and considered them a friend; sence peter's death, I feel like I lost a friend.
God im weird. :P

@Kayleahful i agree. you're not weird. there's a lot of us feeling that way. type o appealed to a very specific kind of person, not everyone "gets" them and those who do feel very close to them. i know i miss pete so bad, like he was someone i knew personally. his death gets to me so much. can't believe he's gone.

Although I was pissed when none of the famous TV/Hollywood chanels (like E! for example) didnt really cover his death. When michael jackson died they was all over him like stink on shit &for a LONG time. When Pete died, its was like "Peter steele of T.ON. died April 14 of heath Failure."

I know what you mean, I felt the same way about Dio's death. It's best just to assume that it's what they'd prefer, too much coverage and they'd be mainsteam and tarnished. MJ was a pop-guy, so of course the press went wild. But the people who really loved Pete and Ronnie knew what happened, and were happy that people who had no idea who they were before the death weren't making a big deal about it just because it was the cool thing to do.

@Kayleahful Your not weird at all, I was crushed when Peter Steele died. I swear It felt like I had known him like any of my friends. Its been almost a year and I still mourn his passing. I'm pretty sure that we'll see him on the other side. P.S. Did you notice that he prophesied his death on Profit of Doom? He died early in the morning on April 14th, they think, nobody really knows. Apophis passes on April 13th 2029 and 2036. Maybe he's coming back? ; )

I always heard songs earlier in my years (I'm 28 now) of Type O Negative, but I never got into them too much. Seemingly appropriate that I can relate more-so to Peter's lyrics now that I've experienced so much more than when I was a 15 year old and this album came out. Failed previous relationships, the struggles of life, and the realization of my own mortality. I think it's important for everyone to remember that only death is certain. This band gives me comfort in the finality of death. R.I.P.

As so many others have said, Type O stands alone.. Me being ever so ecletctic, I always have there music in my selection and have turned so many people on to this group.. Phenomanol all the way around! Love it and won't ever stop listening! Peter says in his lyrics what I have wanted to say but can never find the words, he still steals them from my mouth to this day! Keep rockin and support this type of music, it is a dying breed to say the least : (
