@kittenwithagun google translate isn't the most accurate thing in the world. endic naver dictionary - google that. it's a korean website with dual kor-eng and eng-kor dictionary. it's better to rely on korean operated websites for accuracy
:D I watched a korean drama were the children had the names of rainbow colors ^^ Now I understand why the oldest was named Ppal Gan, the second Ju Hwang and so on... :D
I've been working on Spanish and Korean (as well as a few others in times past). For some reason Koreans speak it soooo fast - even when trying to teach. I've done voiceover work - I know language - and I can barely keep up the speed with these "teaching" videos. Go to a spanish teacher's channel from Oxford Univ. at thespanishblog . com Count and figure the syllables per second then compare here - its probably 1/3 the speed.
I so want to learn Korean and go back there - so please slow down.
@jonboy700 The speed sounds pretty typical. Languages that have long words tends to speak faster to compensate. The Chinese have short words but still speak very fast (check my videos). If you put in about a thousand hours of listening (and if you can, repeating), you'll be doing great and it'll all seem pretty normal. You could do 10 hours of this video, or watch it 391 times, and you'll be doing great (but you may not need that much). The time you invest makes all the difference.
@Glossika Yeah, I'm a big fan!! I am taking Chinese next semester, so I was hoping your videos would help. I'm also a fan of Moses, I will give his FLR method a try.
Thank You for making these videos. They are great for learning the language of korean. I appreciate all of the hard work you guys have put into the website and your youtube account.

However I was wondering.. does Korean have more than one way of saying the same color? Or..am I missing something?
what is the difference between 보라색 and 자주색 ?
what is the difference between 녹색 and 초록색 ?
