i'm a 1st year ASL student so i only understood some of what you said - and the fingerspelling, not at all. :( but i enjoyed the vid, i think i'll check out more of your videos!
I'm Deaf from Australia and I understood about 95% of your signing. I just saw the doc film tonight and read all the comments and opinion before I could show to other people. I so totally agree with you! Thank you for sharing your opinion. Cheers!
Wow, some excellent points! I would like to know, too, who was involved with the making of that documentary; if it truly is a documentary, as in, documenting Deaf history and perspectives, then it should be at least partly in the hands of Deaf people -- otherwise, it's a 'study'. I also want to second your point about including info about ASL classes, and love the way you put it: "walls come down when people learn ASL". Yes!
Hello.
My name is Martin (take M and make the king hand movement for my sign name)
I am a first year asl student and I did nt understand everything, but I still appreciate your points.
I understood how you put your points on order (1st, 2nd, etc)
I understood most of what ou said about Beethoven's Nightmare... probably because Ive been singing since I was three.
I will have to watch the documentary again and I hope to hear from you. I will make sure to watch more of your vids.
Blessings.
