Ah well I can't quite figure you out yet, like where are you coming from??? hahahah but you do seem to be a fun person , so you do get a subscription.looking forward to hear more of your great voice, if it's yours of course, if it is,its fantastic love it David.
As an audience I'd like to be shocked and I'd like to witness the harvest of original and smart ideas. I believe that opera staging should bring in new reforms in order to attract more participants. Briefly; adding the whole components on the stage ; what I mean is that it was a BRILLIANT play. Christiane Boesiger was my favorite Lucia and now she is a fascinating Violetta.
I appreciate and thank a lot to all, whom has worked and laboured in this production.
From the beginning I wished it to last longer. A striking La Traviata which was the best I saw in my life. It was obvious that Mrs. Boesiger was an astonishing diva but as watching her live, my admirance augmented. Since the performance has no intermission and the scenes change so rapid, it is obvious that Christiane has a stupendous control on stage.
She is so bold that she can sing the hardest parts with such ease and with such acting skills. You live the whole story with her and the music intensively. You fall in love with her, you feel the joy and then you feel the sorrow and the surrender. I felt the joy and the drunkenness of Violetta as she scattered the confettis in a reckless manner and the desperation as she was choked by Alfredo and I saw the insincerity of the society lastly.
The cases were elucidated with symbols and I think that this makes modern rendition more effective than the classical old style. As I see Violetta in the ordinary production the only thing I care about is the quality of singing since I'm already used to the staging and don't have to concentrate deeply on the details as I already have known it. But in this production I tried to discover as much as I could since it was completely new and every action and detail was surprising for me.
Ms. Boesiger is a compelling singing actress. But I would venture a guess that she must tire of all these Eurotrash opera productions and long for more traditional/conventional stagings of Traviata, Lucia or Giovanni. These "updating" productions are intriguing, but no replacement for the real thing.
I think the technique, voice, acting of this singer is unbelieveble! Everybody speaks of a "new Callas" referring to singers who are just an imitation of the famous soprano- this one can be the "new callas" beacuase she is clever, she is new and she is daring!I can't say how glad I am to know that such a singer exists today- and I should like to let her know!!
The voice is very beautiful, the cast is insufficient for her goodness. She sings very well am glad to know her. she is a true Traviata... not like some other who just show her leg and other thing, she really sings and she is a very, very good actress. Congratulations Cristine.

Yeah I checked from the website another soprano named"Akiko Nakajima" is also V.Valery...
Where can I learn the schedule of this production featuring only C.Boesiger?
paminaase 4 years ago
That's what I found on the Net:
16./18.12.2007, 6./15.1., 5.2., 2./6./10.3., 17./30.4, 5./8.6.2008
But would double-check with the theatre or her agency!
