Too bad for you people that bought the 2011 models cause BOTH engines have been discontinued and upgraded for 2012! They sport a better direct injection set up and the E550 will be a bi-turbo V8 version with over 400bhp.

@Truemoderate , I feel bad for the 2011 E350 buyers, but no so much for the E550 buyers. The new bi-turbo V8 only has 20 more hp than the previous NA V8, and not to mention that nothing beats the sound and linear power delivery of a bigger, naturally aspirated V8. The new smaller, forced induced V8 just wont sound or drive the same.

@4MATICbenz Yeah but check out the E550 main competitor the BMW 650i, Seems BMW beat Mercedes to the show room. And your right about that normally aspirated engine like that Merc 6.2L V8 that their replacing.

I have this car. An E500 in Obsidian Black. I was offered a car as a gift and I chose this. I'm 22.

To drive, it really is stunning. It has awesome amounts of power and is so comfortable. Press the 'SPORT' button on the dashboard and the suspension stiffens up as well as the response from the throttle becoming very reactive. The exhausts will now release their full soundtrack of a roar when you put your foot down...and TRUST ME, it's very very addictive. The COMAND is very very smart also!

@samov222 seriously.....hmm maybe thats why the honda accord is one of america's safest vehicles reiceving 5stars in almost every section they test it in...honda has class and concept of luxuary would be their acura line which does have decent luxury and very awkward styling. its kinda dumb to think that mercedes is the ish when it has competetors that are better in all ways and even cars that dont compete with them

@sexyboi142 It is very difficult and time consuming for me to explain to you this in a short message. But, the easiest way for you to realize the difference between a Merc and other cars, is simply to own one. I personally own a 2004 Mercedes CL500. It is relatively an old car. In fact this model started coming out in 2000. Trust me though, the technology in my 2004 CL500 is way more advanced than the best new Acura. From suspension, to breaking tech...etc. That is why Mercs usually weight more

@samov222 we had an 04 mercedes C 230. it was nice but became problematic. they are very nice and can be dependable. But our 91 and 97 accord coupe were mor reliable than the merc. We bought an 05 accord sedan to replace the merc and 97 A C. But when the c class coupe hits showrooms. trust me there will be one in my garage

@samov222 You are absolutely right. I have a 1995 Mercedes s420. And i guarantee you that most cars today still haven't caught up th this class leader. I hope Mercedes keeps it up. In my wors the best automobile.

@cooldaddyslick , hmmm.... i honestly wasnt too crazy about the boxy dash and console shape (reminds me too much of the 1990s Mercs), but i still think the cabin has a rich ambiance and nice quality. Defintely wouldnt call it "ugly" lol.

In my eyes the exterior of this car is where the styling really shines.

@cooldaddyslick , yep i first sat in one at the 2010 New York Auto Show and didnt really like the interior mostly b/c it was gray (i hate gray or black interiors btw). But then i saw a couple at the local dealer and the interiors looked pretty sweet in beige color. The interior defintely looked and felt posh enough for a 70K car (atleast in my opinion).
