@RemusLt I know this, lenovo bout them but thats still an IBM thinkpad laptop. The company owner makes no difference. TATA bought Jaguar and Land Rover but you dont see the car called a TATA rover or TATA xjs do you?
Thank you for posting this! I wish this kind of thing existed when I last was repairing systems to let me avoid the "remove visible screws, swear when it won't open, locate hidden screws by carefully prying the case apart & hope it doesn't break" method. :o)
wtf is holding that long peice that has the power lite its free at both ends ,just something holding next to the dvd drive.i see no other screws ???

You can also go to Lenovo.com and under support there are user guides and manuals to do all this stuff. It's really helpful.
