The falcon produces more torque at lower rpm's, the falcon has better fuel usage in both urban and hi-way, the falcon is also lighter. Must I keep going on?

Holden SS is 5.6

HSV R8 is 5.0

Manual SS is $21,000 cheaper than the manual GT and 0.8 of a second faster...It's really strange how it can be that much slower.

Yeah, but we don't have much else interesting, unless you count the forthcoming Fusion and Taurus as great cars. At least despite the easy and smooth lines of Australian Fords, at least you all get RWD sedans and such. Aggressive-looking machines despite their subtlety, only without overdoing it. And have you seen the next Mustang? It looks too soft for my tastes (though still a nice car).

Fords AU T3 flogs the FPV GT, and holden's finest..it's Gts,SS and R8 on just about any race track in OZ...it's been proven. Just look at my vids for a breif example.

WOW so u actually own a Au XR8 and a VY SS other then looking at bits of paper and stupid vids on youtube..unless uve ACTUAL done it like i have u wouldnt have a damn clue..and the AU's werent 1800kg's there 1640kg which is on my REGO PAPERS!..also not all AU's came with 200kw some had 220kw up to 250kw like the TE50's and 235kw out of a VY SS is pathetic considering there the rival to the 260kw boss

okay okay, I got the weight wrong, and technically didnt get the power 100% right. But the drivers in the Holdens you have raced must have been crappy drivers. Ever since the LS engines were released, the Falcon V8s havent matched up. Less torque, sometimes less power, and more weight.

I dont have to drive them, I've read plenty of road test comparisons over the last ten years. I'm not stating opinion, I'm stating simple common knowledge.

fair call dude i think i my comments have been harsh but at the same time i know the AU's were actually a quick and tight car probley the best V8 they have really brang out the TE50's were unbeliveable the Boss motor just lacks so much.and as u mentioned weight has been fords major factor for there V8's seeming to be sluggish if u compare stats of nearly every V8 from the EB upwards ford have beaten holden in power and torque by around 5kw/nmbut none of that matters when the car is 300kg heavier
