i'm into 'experimental'/strange/beautiful/whatever music.
I'm as much a fan of John Cage as I am of Celtic Frost. I was expecting a lot from Sun O))). Maybe that was the problem. Maybe I miss the point, but without pharmaceuticals, are they any good?
I saw them in Denver, it was the most epic show I've ever been to. I'm an electronic music fan so by my standards this was something I shouldn't have enjoyed. I left utterly blown away with my jaw on the floor. The thing you have to realise is it's not a concert, it's far closer to theater and performance art.
I'm not really convinced. I "saw" them live and in fact I didn't looked too much the stage. I just sat on the floor and enjoyed the sound, slowly banging my head like a reatard.

i just dont get it... i mean, i love ambient black metal and drone and all that but this is just 10 minutes of absolutly nothing, how can anyone possibly enjoy listening to nothing but buzzing noises for 10 minutes straight and even call it a song??
My only flaws involving this gig were that no one recorded the full Sunn O))) performance, Earth only had a short set, and Boris closed the last 37 hours of their set with feedback.
@tsolis alot of their concerts are improvised. that's what makes them so great. they dont just play songs on the cd's create. the cd's are good and all, but im sure these guys were meant to be seen live.

@ataudesdeluz Really, their performances aren't of set songs. It is one continual, mostly improvised, morphing soundscape.
